That was you? If whatever you do professionally doesn't work out, have you considered underpants modeling as a backup plan?

Boyd Gaming website lists participating casinos in the new Bconnected. Aliante is listed but the Canneries arent. The 17 current BC properties plus Aliante.Guess they are going to leave the Canneries off like Station does the Fiesta properties.

Loved that perk at Suncoast when we lived there.

Maybe they updated after you checked but I'm seeing Cannery and Eastside Cannery both listed.

Big Emerald advantage - 3x points. This translates to cashback/freeplay if you choose. 40% off food doesn't mean much because at that level you should have a Gold card for food anyway. Skipping lines is valuable if the line is long. Market Street lineup can be very long when the plane gets in.

Apparently aristocrat slots is the new company being used for their card system. Sounds like they will integrate all play from properties instead of the single ones.

Just read the article on this. Sounds good for all properties even the ones bought in December to be online with bconnected. no more 2 year wait like Aliante.

This would be big! I once tried to stay at Main Street on Fremont. Just to chill downtown for once. I was highly rated at Blue Chip Locally, with about $10K coin in each night on the slots. I had nothing but a discounted stay based on my card level for Vegas.

So i called a host at MS and she said my play at other Boyd properties doesn't matter. And she couldn't even see my coin in.

When my play at MGM in Detroit can get me a free Vegas room. Or my play at a local CET does the same. It would be about time Bconnected started to cross pollinate

Thanks for the link, but no real information on what the changes might be to the rewards system.

I'm cautiously optimistic like I guess everyone is. The six month tier/point stuff has me a bit worried. A trip in september and wont make it back until next July has me worried about room offers drying up in April. 4Q gave me reassurance I gave them play so they are my backup and will get play next month especially if the Belterra acquisition is delayed I'm 8 hours from tunica and wont be able to earn points for Boyd.

I've had some luck getting the Aliante facebook person to reply in the past. I commented earlier asking them to alleviate some concerns. We'll see if they reply.

That actually is my profession. Any time there is a marketing campaign for a product that makes you look better, I'm the first guy they call to take "before" pictures.

I've heard that the roll out will surprise a lot of folks.

Supposedly the tier levels will be named after gems that are highly valued by their primary demographic.

The Ruby tier will now be known as "Butterscotch."
Sapphire cards will be replaced by "Werther's Original" ones.
The replacement for the top public Emerald level will be the "Hall's Mentho-Lyptus" tier.
The private invite-only tier will be "Those Little Candies with Wrappers That Look Like Strawberries," because like the Onyx card, no one really knows what the hell they are or where they come from.

This would definitely make switching between Orleans and Downtown more palatable. Only issue is that installing this might take awhile.

Oasis is used by some other downtown properties correct? Isn't the D and maybe even El Cortez using this system? Oasis sounds familiar from looking at the little screen by the machine

Received an email this am (generic) saying I better get ready for big things---big changes, big benefits. Stay tuned and had a countdown timer.
I sure hope this isn't one of those "Honey, saved us 120$ on these shoes and got them for 60$,,,,they had two colors I liked so actually we got them free and I still have credit!" I hope.

With my experiences with Boyd over the last two years and reduced comps, they should just add a card level named "Pyrite". Ill be happy with them not knocking off a "0" at the end of my total slot points..

My Grandma used to have us pick these up at the Brach's factory store here in Chicago in the 80's. And this is EXACTLY how we described what we wanted when we went to buy them. The Hard Candies that look like Strawberries. And we had to make sure we added "with the filling".

I guess they come with and without. Learned that when Granny got her 10 pound bag once without, and pissed and moaned they tasted like cough drops.
