I'm wondering what it means to folks like me, casual slot/VP players who just squeak by Sapphire status. I wonder if Amber will get line-pass privileges?

Not with that hair. With the booking #’s under the chin, maybe. But not the hair.

Because the cutoff at all non-Vegas locations is 100k. For the sake of everyone on the Vegas schedule, I hope they don't move all Sapphire to 100k.

And yes, the only Onyx talk I hear is from this forum. I know at least one VMBer claimed he was Onyx awhile back.

Doubt it. Point multipliers are mostly Vegas only too. Emerald has only a 1.5X multiplier at Blue Chip in Indiana. Big damn deal.

But wtf is amber, that's new to me. Lol

Amber is the key to the whole code: they aren’t using gemstones at all, they are using stripper names!

They screwed up using Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire in the ways they did. The next logical step up would be Diamond which they can't do. From a gem perspective, I would expect Onyx to be below those three, not above. The gems that would be more rare are probably to obscure to the average player so switching to precious metals make sense.

since we are talking about Boyd's, zirconia would probably fit in well somewhere.

i just hope they do two things-

give us non-locals more time to keep the status we earn

and issue a credit card to earn points/status for spending and to prevent points from expiring

the credit card seems more likely to counter the Stations one that just came out

Why is anyone worried about benefit cuts for upper tiers? What benefits?

The only usable perks I got from my year as an Emerald card holder were tier upgrades from other properties.

I'm starting to wonder now if the retirement of the BConnected social program wasnt involved in this. Maybe they will do something like TR's Say and Play...as a means to let people keep their points active.

Don't forget about the premium parking at a few locations. Very valuable.

I kind of have to agree with that... I made Emerald from 6/17 to 6/18. I only go to Vegas; stay at the Cal, and spend most of my time there. I never got upgraded to a better room. Never used it to cut a line-never had to. I did receive 2 free checked bags when I flew with Vacations Hawaii. There are so many Emeralds from Hawaii... I'll stay Sapphire. I made Diamond in 2 trips; so I will continue to stay at Caesars and give most of my budget to TR properties.

Unless of course, the new card levels provide better benefits.... lol

    Aloha, Dale

Yeah, dang, I forgot about the ultra premium Emerald parking at The Orleans....priceless.

I also just remembered about the hotel upgrades I never got (paid rooms only I was told,) and the upgrade gift I never received. I did get to jump ahead of two lowly Ruby card holders in line at the MSS buffet once though. How do you like the view of my backside? Yeah that's right, membership has it's privileges, Rubes.

    Never heard of Amber either.
    That must be new.
It is higher or lower than Sapphire?
