Never made it to Starbucks, so our cabana day began with some expensive, but good, cabana food.

    IMG_20180509_095806710.jpg
V had Avocado Toast. It looked great, and he really liked it.

    IMG_20180509_095756757.jpg
S and I each ordered the Breakfast Sandwich. It was good too, but big. We totally should have ordered one and split it.

    IMG_20180509_095754127.jpg
G had the American Breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast.

    IMG_20180509_095744315_HDR.jpg
H doesn't dig breakfast food much, so she opted for a Double Cheeseburger and Fries.

Our cabana comes with water, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, and Sierra Mist, so that's what the girls are drinking.

V and I ordered Bloody Marys in refill mugs and a hot coffee for me, iced coffee for him.

I'm making sure to drink lots of water and take my electrolyte replinisher.

I booked a Mandalay Bay West Lagoon Cabana back in March for a prepaid amount of $375. You add your cabana host tip when you get here. I did $100. Food service is separate.

It's one of the bigger cabanas. I believe it can accommodate up to 10. The price varies with the amount of people. It has 3 loungers, 2 sofas, a high table with 3 chairs, a mini fridge, towels, a cabinet with a safe, and 2 inner tubes for floating the lazy River or pool (not the wave pool though).

I've never been to the MB pool complex before, but it wasn't nearly as crowded as I expected. They actually have one of the pool areas closed. The West Pool area was a good choice for our family. Roomy pool and easy to keep an eye on the girls from our cabana.

I'm going to post some pictures below.

Girls want to go try the wave pool, so I'm going to go do that with them. They really like the lazy river. V did that with them.

What a nice looking family. Does V gamble? The pool is just what you need for a relaxing day.

V will do slots and VP if I drag him along or if he holds a machine for me. Otherwise, no, he doesn't gamble. He is a ham radio operator, amateur outdoor photographer, and computer geek. He much prefers to chill at a bar or in the room with all of his equipment.

I on the other hand LOVE playing slots! I guess one player works better for making a bankroll last and for babysitting the kids at night. I do feel alone on the floor sometimes.

I always seem to have one creepy guy encounter each trip. Last night it was a guy who walked up and asked to bum a cigarette. I said, "I don't smoke." He then asks where I'm from. I replied, "I don't want to talk to you either." I swear it's never a good looking polished guy...just scumbags. LOL.

    Thanks for reading!

I don't think there is such a thing as a cheap rate with Disney. LOL. We splurged for a Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite on the ship and it was fabulous. We did feel the extra we paid was worth it. I won't cruise again unless we can do Concierge level...which means less future cruises. Vegas is a bargain destination for us compared to Disney. LOL.

I must say this is the most tired start to a Vegas trip I've had. I'm glad we ended our trip here though. I can get that Vegas adrenaline rush to keep me going. LOL. Thanks for reading!

I'll check out the new exhibit and see if we want to pay for it. My girls love animals too. We have all 5 tickets to the Shark Reef comped, so we decided to do it again, even though we did it the last trip. Thanks for following!

Do it! Vegas trips with kids are different but fun. I'm really looking forward to my trip alone with V next month though. Biggest drawback to having the kids is not being able to bar and lounge hop together.

Thank you for the compliment and for following along!

Ordered a Rum Runner refill for my cup. Really like the size of these. Not obnoxiously big like the ones we got at Luxor and Excalibur. I'm pacing myself...no drunk hat story repeat like I told in my 2016 report.

    IMG_20180509_132227082.jpg

V ordered a margarita refill and just ordered a Modelo beer. We're still pretty stuffed from the breakfast food. We have RxBoiler Room tonight for dinner. I need to bump our reservation to 8pm.

Check out these window washing pics. It's been fun to observe from the pool.

How does Vegasworm cool off on a scorching day? In the casino of course!

The family is hanging back swimming while I cool off inside and rack up some MLife points.

I'm down $210 for the trip. Phew...I thought it was more like $400. Now to get back to ground zero...and then a hand pay!

Just ordered a White Russian and going to start small with my playing and then hopefully move up. LOL.

I almost never read TRs ... yet here I am. This is fun because it's so different.

And I'm glad the cranky boobirds have stayed away.

Not major wins, but helps when I'm trying to claw my way back to the starting line.

I know you’re tracking this, but do you know if your Mlife win/loss account updates daily during your trip?

It does and it was close to my records. I think it showed a $213 and change loss. There was one machine I forgot to insert my card in, but very close to my records.

I think my Tier Credits are around 36,000. Need to hit 75,000 by the time V and I take our next trip.

Okay, I'm back to my original bankroll thanks to a $287 cash out using $50 of V's Point Play (from the MLife Credit Card) on a $1 machine.

Always nice to have a comeback! :woohoo:

Back at the cabana and ordered a frozen Miami Vice. I have a nagging headache, but that's pretty typical for me when I'm around smoke.

Glad to have my bankroll intact again and working towards keeping MLife Gold.

Girls are having a blast at the pool. It's open until 7pm tonight.

Here are the room pics I keep promising. We're on the 27th floor with a great view of The Strip, airport, some mountains, and the sight of the shooting...which is a bit unnerving and very sad.

Our two queen room. Is very roomy for the five of us. I like the large tub and shower in the bathroom.
