I see this all the time - 200 trips to Vegas; 100 royal flushes. I don't keep track. I've made many trips and been fortunate enough to have a lot of Royals. But I don't know how many. Do you keep a spreadsheet? Or when you hit one you say to yourself "this is number 10" and then remember when you get the next one that you had number 10 months or years ago and now you're at 11?

I’ve only been playing VP seriously for about 1-1/2 years.
I have 2 Royals so far and just keep a screen shot of each in a file on my computer along with any other nice hands like straight flushes.

I have more pictures of video poker screens in my phone than most people have of their kids. I once declared a ceremonial ‘fiftieth trip’ and tried to keep track from there. I lost interest after sixty. For Royals I save a five dollar chip from every casino where I have hit, totaling eight. I always like thinking that the next time out might be a red chip trip.

I don't keep count but I have pictures of all of them. The majority of my RF have not been hit in Vegas. Maybe now I will count them, Vegas/non-Vegas RF's.

How long have you folks that don’t have a Royal been playing VP?
Taking into consideration estimated hands played / coin in?
Are y’all really running bad or just really don’t play all that much?

Holy crap. Hence the screen name.
    You are way overdue.
That almost makes me feel bad about hitting one the very first trip I seriously played VP.
Keep the faith. It will happen.

I wish I had kept track of my trips. I am guessing I have gone about 30-40 times but finding out the exact number is going to be very challenging.

I got it a few years ago when they still had a $1 progressive bet (that won me $15k) with a $5 blind bet (500 to 1 = $2500). My biggest w2 to date. Still waiting for the VP royal though.

I haven't counted our trips, but we first went in 1981 and that was the beginning of our twice a year visits. Through the years we've thrown in an occasional extra trip.

About the royals, from hearing what others say about the frequency of their RFs, I'm pretty sure my husband and I are above average. We've never kept track, but I think one of us at least gets a royal every year. Our last trip (October 2017) we each got one. Mine was on Loose Deuces (progressive) at MSS and his was at the Plaza on an old Jokers Wild machine. We were both dealt 4 to the spade royal and drew the queen.

We'll be there in a few days to hopefully get some more.

I only started playing VP about ten years ago, and it's never been the major part of my trips.

I have far exceeded my expected return of royals. I think I could go 10 years without one, and still be ahead of schedule for them.

Oddly, in the many I have had, I have never held four cards!

I've also hit three dollar progressives, and almost never play at the dollar level. (Maybe 5% of my play)
