    My Trip Report

Initially this was supposed to be a trip with my childhood best friend of 20+ years. Her schedule changed, but I had already booked the hotel & flight so... Here we go!

Since I financed a new car last month, my funds are shorter than I initially planned for this trip. Significantly. I'll have about $500 cash for 2 nights.

But it's okay! I'm booked at The Cosmo - my favorite - for my free Sterling night plus paid for the other. I paid for my Southwest flight with points. I'm meeting my dad on Fri, he's taking me out to dinner (he's there on vacation for Superbowl weekend), so that's one meal covered.

I have $78 in points to use towards food at the Cosmo, my BOGO for the Wicked Spoon, and a couple MyVegas rewards for a night or 2 of drinking.

.....will I have enough money to play all the slots I want, along with trying video poker? I think so. I may not be able to bet as high as initially planned, but can still have fun! Suggestions on low-rollin' or fun attractions on the cheap are appreciated!

Packed, and Jackson the cat decided he's coming too. His sister Chloe has better things to do, and is sitting on a blanket in the living room.

    Till tomorrow morning!

This trip was also, initially, my jump from Sterling to Gold at Cosmo. I'd been trying my hardest all year. I won't make it by my deadline (2/19), but I earned more than enough to keep Sterling. I'll save money for bigger trips and plan accordingly this year.
With that pressure off, my dining options have opened up, and I really only need to be cautious of stretching my gambling budget.

    Best of luck, luck! [emoji16]
Hopefully the slots cooperate and let you play for a longgg time, but nevertheless, you will be in Vegas! Enjoy your trip!

When I'm on a budget I'm a big fan of the music on Fremont St. & I see Zowie Bowie are performing during your time there. Those guys are always the most fun group to watch downtown regardless if you are into pop & hip hop music (which is most of their catalog), but mostly if you are into having fun cuz idk that music preference matters all that much with their showmanship.

There are much tamer in this clip than they are downtown.

You will be fine. One decent hit can keep you going for a long time. Just try not to chase losses on the first day. Meals are covered, room is covered, drinks are covered when your gambling, and Dad is in town. How can anything to wrong. Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone, looking forward to it!

You're right @Miller12pack a good win is all it takes to keep rollin. Good point not to chase losses the first day either - who wants that? :p

@Richard Alpert - he's totally TSA pre-check ready (HA! I wish! I think Chloe would be fine on a plane ride. Hmm my birthday trip in July, complete with cats? :))

    Thank you @ardee ! I'm sure it'll be great!

May have scored my first win before the trip: boyfriend might drive me to the airport and save me the $30 Uber fee! (so outrageous lol)

Have a great trip and a fun time at Cosmo. As of late I've become a big fan of TRs that start out with cat pics. Hope you have nine lives in Vegas!!! Happy travels and looking forward to your TR.

Good luck! And I had a pretty tight roll for Vegas last trip. Just try to stay in the black the whole trip like I did and it's easy! ;)

You should get one of these for Jackson (and yourself) as the Asians swear these "Lucky Money Kitties" will bring you fortune. And if your $$ run low definitely go downtown. You can stretch your dollars gambling down there way easier than the strip.

Try the 3-reel Wonka near Va Bene Cafe at Cosmo; there are two and they've always been lucky for me. Have had great luck on the Orange is the New Black slots at Cosmo consistently too. Good Luck!

I'm sure alot of gift shops in Vegas will carry them. I got mine in Hawaii years ago. They're in a lot of asian restaurants and i've seen all different sizes.

    Thank you everyone!

Thanks @breanna61 ! I definitely wanna check out the Wonka 3-reel, we don't have that at any of my nearby locals! :) It looks fun! Definitely gonna play my fav, Sex & The City, as well. :D

En route to the airport via Uber! Thanks sunny San Diego for the lovely traffic, these 17 and 21-minute delays are just what I wanted to wake up to today. :p

    So close to Vegassss !
