Going to see MJ One in March, looking for suggestions on a quick bite at MB, perhaps in a bar setting. We typically stick to CET properties for higher prices meals so they can be comped, so would be looking for something more on the casual side, though I will check the CP cut of the week since that's such a good value. I've heard good things about Burger Bar, but overall am not too familiar with the dining options at MB. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Hey @grosx2, our last two trips we were at MB. Didnt try BB only because nothing called out to me, but I've heard good things. (I'm a burger fiend, and Holsteins ruined me....) I DO want to try the burger at House of Blues with green Chili's....just haven't gotten around to it! Loved Citizens. They a really good French dip that they took off the menu for a bit, but it's back by popular demand. Really good meal, and really good portions. Waitstaff was great each time and we loved the food. There's also Slice of Vegas which has a decent lunch special, but haven't been there. (In the mall, not MB). Also liked Public House in Luxor and only a short walk. Loved Citizens though, it's our go-to in MB. have a great trip! PS a menu with prices...and they DO split a meal w/o charge. https://foursquare.com/v/citizens-kitchen--bar/50e71072fe7019cee50178ae/menu
I really like Libertine Social for a casual bite. They have a laid back, comfortable seating in the bar, with lots of creative and delicious shareable dishes in addition to full meal options. https://www.mandalaybay.com/en/restaurants/libertine-social.html#/Menu
I agree! Ri Ra has delicious food. I love their Guinness beef stew. Their fish and chips and Sheperd's pie are decent too. They also have an "all day" Irish breakfast that my wife and I like a lot. Casual!
We did Boarder Grill for Sunday brunch and it was outstanding. We plan to go for a quick lunch when we get in on our first day in April.
Just announced today, Border Grill is opening a to go window at the Mandalay location! https://t.co/rYLr7miu4y
Sounds pretty interesting. I'm a huge fan of their brunch, but I really haven't heard of too many people raving about their lunch/dinner offerings.
Crazy so many are recommending Border Grill - we always say we're gonna go; we always walk by and we've never stopped I guess we'll have to try this year. Burger Bar... I'm biased. If I remember correctly, it was good but not OMG amazing. We have good burger bars here in Buffalo though, so I am biased. ... can always go up to Skyfall at the top of Delano for dinner? We tried going last year but they were closed due to high wind. Last time we went was when it was called Mix and I remember it being good / great view.
Border Grill brunch is fantastic, they have unlimited beverage options, $15 for mimosas and $20 mimosa and Bloody Marys. The mimosa option was a drink buffet by itself, pomegranate, pear, blood orange, I don’t remember the other flavors, I was too hammered by then. We stayed at MB for Easter and had the Sunday Brunch. Because it was a holiday they offered an Oyster Bar. Hope this helps
My buddy invited my wife and I for dinner at StripSteak about a week ago. He was playing a slot tournament there and had a hefty comp. The duck fat french fries were pretty good, but I thought the steak was just average. I had the NY strip and my buddy had the ribeye.
Good ideas above, and there are few other places just as you enter the mall that goes from MB towards Luxor. All very close to MJ which is in the hallway to Delano.
I would recommend Ri Ra. It has a good atmosphere and better than good food. For fun, look across the way and you may see The Hit King at the sports store across from Ri Ra. He always seems to be doing autograph sessions (for a price) when I'm in town. I know a lot of people are off on Pete Rose but I talked to him last year at MB and he was a fun guy to chat with and there is no denying his talent at the hitting the ball... but then again, I'm a Reds fan so I may be a bit biased. As far as food goes, Ri Ra is top notch Irish pub food with good beer.
