Just received that email as well. Nice to do for our Vets and a good marketing move for CET as well.

I think it is a nice touch.

BUT - standby. One of their facebook pages has all sorts of comments about this. In particular - what about fireman, and policemen and EMTs and if EMTs get added, then how about nurses and doctors. What about school teachers

    It just gets crazy.

I think what CET is doing is great. But sadly, the general public is looking to ruin it.

What about veteran retail workers suffering PTSD from Black Friday trauma? I've seen CET do things to honor some of those other groups here and there. But it annoys me that when we are technically at war still, domestic first responders would demand to be equated to military. And this is coming from one of the most unpatriotic people you will ever hear from.

I'm in favor of anything that shows support for our veterans. They are the reason we all get to have the freedoms we enjoy. I've been meeting and thanking veterans all day here at Harrah's in AC. Thank you to all you veterans out there on VMB too. Your service is valued and appreciated.

I like that how my wife can get one too. I have the CET Visa so I am already Plat, but the wife didn't so now she can be Plat too. We have a local that has a military card that gets extra discounts, but no local CET or MGM. It will be nice to get the MGM one too so we have more parking options.

Does anyone know how this card affects getting to Diamond? Do I have to earn just the TCs to move from Platinum to Diamond or do I have to earn the TCs needed for Platinum too?

I can't say for sure, but if it's like the upgrade to Plat with the Visa, you will still need to earn the all the points as they just give you the status, but not the points.

Yes. If you currently have 0 tier score/credits and get the Salute Card or sign up to the Visa card to get to Platinum, your tier score stays the same at 0 and you would need to reach 15K tier credits to reach Diamond.

Just got back from Vegas and asked if they offer this card for Diamond members as well. Was told that they only have the card which displays plat on it but I could still use it if i wanted to as a diamond member.

Not sure what you are saying here? If you are Diamond why would you be interested in this card?
