I don't watch daytime TV, but if I did, it would be her show.

    Alive: Joseph Wambaugh...a great storyteller.

Passed on: James Garner...everything I've ever seen him in or read about him, he strikes me as a very down-to-earth, tell it like it is type of person.

I played poker at Bally's with Mrs. Carlin. Does that count or is it close enough, lol?

Ernest Hemmingway on a rainy Key West day.Humphrey Bogart in a smoky bar somewhere.I wonder if he was cool with the public or not?
Wow how about W.C.Fields?..Alive people maybe Bill Murray or Drew Carey, just people who I have heard take the time to say hello to their fans and not the ones who think their s*** smells like roses.

I am a total nerd for super smart people. I've always said that I'd love to corner Doris Kearns Goodwin and Sarah Vowell over a pitcher of margaritas to talk presidential history. Well, I'd probably just listen. I love them both.

Same for Neil DeGrasse Tyson talking science.

I have little interest in most celebrities. Although, the idea of drinks with Frank, Dean and Sammy is appealing. I really need someone to invent a time machine for me.

She really is funny. Her last comedy special "Bothering Jesus" had me laughing my ass off.
She's always talking about how much she loves going to casinos so I already know
we have a lot in common. ;)

+ 1 for Neil DeGrasse Tyson. Cosmos was great and I really dig how he can take a complex idea and explain it in terms that the average Joe/Jane can wrap their minds around.

Love her take on 80 year old CWs with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths yelling "cocktails" whilst sounding like they just ate a bag of gravel.
