Is CET the only program that you can keep Reward Credits if you only go once a year?

Because if you get the TR visa then your Reward Credits don't expire ve only going once a year and without the visa they would expire after 6 months.
Are there any other programs that your Credits won't expire after 6 months?

MLife has a credit card now that has the same kind of benefit. Also if you are Pearl tier or higher at MLife, you get 12 months. If you're at the lowest tier level, it's 6 months,

Cosmo's cash-equivalent comp points don't expire for 12 months. Same with Grazie at Venetian/Palazzo. Wynn, I don't know.

CET actually is the worst of the strip chains as far as this goes, if you don't have their credit card. 6 months.

But at least with Total Rewards there are other ways to earn credits and keep your points active, like the Marketplace or their Facebook Casino. I do miss their Social Rewards program though.
Personally, I go to the TR Marketplace site, go to Walmart.com and have something shipped to the store.

Mlife doesn't have anything like that, and I lost my $40 in accumulated comps when I didn't go back in a year.

Shit -- I have $300 in comps available at the Palazzo that I haven't used in a while! Looks like I need to switch my destinations!

Most other casinos do have longer expirations. But it looks like it's time to reiterate how it all works again. Reward Credits should only be banked by people who can actually visit a CET casino easily. The point of banking the RCs was to allow regular low rollers to save up points to enjoy a comp because before, the old system made it hard to get a food voucher for the buffet or coffee shop. It became a selling point that RCs banked in the other markets could be redeemed in Vegas. So for people who can regular play at CET casinos, there is value to banking RCs.

If you cannot access a CET casino easily, why are you saving RCs? Just use them up before you leave. CET is not a casino that will trigger room offers to get you to use up your comp balance and if a host sees them they will use them instead of giving you a discretionary comp. Therefore there is no benefit to you to try and save RCs if you are an infrequent visitor. If you cannot get to a CET casino easily and your trips are more than 6 months apart, just use the gosh darn points.

TR Visa builds them up without trying and then when I go I can eat for free, get snacks for free. Because of the Visa, I have 7-800 RC to use if I only go once a year. I don't have to worry about their loss if I go in May one year and Sept the next. It works for me.

Marquee Rewards (Tropicana and M Resort) is also 6 months.

Pretty sure you get 1 year with mlife as long as you are at least Pearl which is just the second tier.

Exactly. I always keep over 1000 dollars in RC's in my TR account. I never get anything from a host. My host at PHo said you need to use them and then I can give you something but if you have RC's we have to use them. The same thing applied to my room for the upcoming trip. The host made the reservation and I looked at my TR account for something and saw where offers were booked (I didn't book them) for the time I was going to be there. I have two local CET properties so it's easy for me to run in and get some points when needed.

So it looks like as long as you have the TR Visa then you won't lose your rewards vs if you don't make it back every 6 months you will lose any rewards so for all of CET faults, this works.

As long as you earn a reward credit with the credit card every 6 months, yes, I believe this is correct.

I normally buy shirts and stuff at the gift shops and leave less than $50 RCs for the host to use against my room charges. I did see a guy at the Caesars TR desk convert $2500 RCs into free play to use them before checkout.

Thanks for the heads up about the expiry for Reward credits I just assumed it was the same as MLIFE. Curious for someone from Canada who can not get the credit card - does the online marketplace mentioned above work for Canadians? I'm guessing not but thought I would ask.

Good question. I suppose it would work if you are able to get an order fulfilled by a US-based .com rather than a .ca

What happens if you're in Canada and you go to Walmart.com, do you automatically get redirected to Walmart.ca?

Maybe try going to the TR Marketplace and click on the link to Walmart and see where you end up, .com or .ca

If you end up at .com and can go all the way through placing an order, it'll probably work. If you end up at .ca, dunno.

I don't see anything in the T&Cs or FAQs about it.

I can't believe I have never heard of this marketplace before. Being able to make purchases online to keep my reward credits active is amazing. Checked it out and I'll have no luck with walmart as .com doesn't ship to Canada but I noticed Amazon is a partner. I have no problem ordering from the US AMAZON so yippee!

you can also gain reward credits if you buy coins on Caesars online games, you dont get a lot but it does extend your RC timing as long as you put in the TR number

I used the Marketplace a couple of times because it's usually a little over 6 months between my summer and winter trips. Then I set up a fake Facebook account specifically so I could use the online casino method, and used that once. And the last couple of cycles I haven't had to do anything because I've either had a handful of RCs get posted a month late due to adjustments, or been in Vegas during bonus promos where the bonus RCs don't get posted until a couple of months later.

The Marketplace seemed to disappear for about a year, I don't know if it was actually inactive during that time, but I could never find a link to it on the TR site until someone mentioned it again a few months ago.

Just be aware that the Marketplace purchases don't hit your account for up to 60 days, I think it is, so you have to plan well ahead... We had RC's that were going to expire in mid/late August, I thought ahead and made a Walmart purchase via the Marketplace in mid June, and they didn't get credited in time....they zeroed out our credits.... About 5 days later, the ones from the purchase showed up. I emailed them explaining that they zeroed us out even though we had made a purchase 2 months ahead, and after a few back and forths, they reinstated. YMMV

Boyd Points won't expire as well. (B Connected) The points I earned Sept of 2016 I was able to use in Sept of 2017. Unfortunately they don't have a credit card but it is another route to take if you don't want to purchase anything to keep your RC's for CET or if you wander off strip.
