I would think a ticket system if set up to the same parameters would be better for the player.

That way if you are pounding out the hands the tickets are piling up and if you do slow down to go to the bathroom or watch the final drive in a football game there's no discretion necessary.
Others have posted they had more tickets than they could use.

I'm also curious if these tickets are time stamped like sportsbook tickets.
Are they only good for a specific time period (that day) and at that specific bar or any bar in the casino?
Could I take these tickets to the sportsbook, grab a booth and redeem them there?

My experience with the tickets is that its a set timeframe, typically 20 mins. And if you don't play enough during that 20 mins, you won't get a ticket. Many times a ticket every 20 minutes is plenty - but there are certainly occasions where I'll suck back drinks faster than that.

Ugg What you're saying is not only monitoring time but coin in during that time.
    A double whammy.

does anyone know what bars use the tickets , i would rather have ticket in hand than worry about lights or discretion. How long are the tickets valid ?

Yeah, they are time stamped. Valid for 2 hours at cosmo bars. Until recently, they took them for up to 24. You have to redeem them at a bar.

I think the ticket system is usually a bit rougher on the heavier drinker because they usually have also have a built in minimum time requirement. You're getting three to four drinks an hour max no matter how much you play.

With the light system, bartenders have to manually enforce a time limit between drinks. Currently at TAG, I believe it's 5 minutes. Lol [emoji481]

But as long as you keep playing, either system should currently keep you happy.

Cosmo and the tickets say 2 hours, but their bartenders tell you they are good for 24 hours.

I've heard since July 3rd that they have been told to enforce the 2 hour limit. The 24 hour limit probably helped leak out drinks via "gifted tickets".

Also the $15 limit is also now strictly enforced, they'll make you use two tickets for a "signature drink" ($16).

2 hour time limit is ridiculous for people staying on site. It should be one day like sports tickets.

I personally dislike the sportsbook tickets being day stamped.

I'll fly into Vegas on a Wednesday or Thursday and place the great majority of my football bets no later than Friday and then when I go to watch games on Saturday I have a bunch of expired tickets. I haven't received a lot of grief for presenting expired tickets but the possibility is always there and appears to be increasing.

It would actually be pretty cool if the bet slip machine would spit out the drink ticket too and state "good for 1 drink on that specific game or race day"
