Caesar Tower Confusion? Which one to stay in? Sorry, I know this has been posted a million times

Long time since I have stayed at Caesars, and while I know this has been posted a million times, I need help with the tower/room selection (in my defense, they keep changing the names of the towers...lol)

I am looking at the Palace Tower -
can anyone describe where it is located?
Is it anywhere near the Rio Shuttle? Does the Rio Shuttle run anymore?

I heard it was newly renovated? All rooms or just some?

Is it noisy? Like club noise at night (stayed at Aria one time and Cosmo's club kept me up)?
I am ok with construction noise during the day - but enjoy a night's rest in Vegas (don't judge

I know NOBU is one of their nicest rooms, would you choose Nobu over a Palace Studio Suite?

The Palace Tower is by the pool. The elevators for it are across from the pool entrance.

The rooms are large with large bathrooms and have just been renovated nicely.

I THINK the only remaining CET Rio shuttle is now to Harrah's. Not sure.

There was construction noise when we last stayed as they worked on the tower but I believe that work is done. No club noise.

Haven't stayed in Nobu rooms before.

i've stayed at every tower, including the "Julius" which used to be the Roman? tower
(have not stayed in Nobu but have been inside. very nice but not enough to make me spend money when I can stay in Augustus for free)

my favorite is the Augustus
it's close to the front lobby
you can be dropped off at the side valet entrance on Flamingo so you don't have to deal with the extra traffic going in and out of the main entrance from las vegas blvd
so i tell my uber/lyft/cab driver to drop me off there
(you can't actually valet park there unless if you are seven star card holder though)

I tried Octavius tower once
it's not anything better than Augustus and it is just a farther walk

Julius ... the interior is all newly remodeled and decorated... but the room itself is old
the windows are small... the spacing and layout are awkward and small
Palace and Forum towers are fine
I just prefer Augustus because of the accessibility and slightly nicer room

 

I usually take room pictures, but did not for my last trip.

But there is 1 youtube walkthrough I found that shows the decor in the renovated room, which should give you an idea. For the reno, they've changed the carpets, the entertainment centre, wallpaper, retiled the bathroom, changed the vanity and the tub.

The new tub is awesome. Hard to see in the video, but it is still a jetted tub (pinhole jets near the bottom).

If you are bothered by noise, don't do Nobu. Omnia club noise invades many of the rooms.

Palace. Looks like a good job in the video. Remodeling was done from top down, they are still working on the bottom 6-8 floors. I verified by calling CP guest relations last week. Get a room on 10 or higher and you should be ok. If high enough and on north side you'll have mountains to left, Mirage in front and little to the right and strip farther to the right. Palace is quiet, close to parking and pool.

 

I stayed in the Nobu tower for three nights a couple months ago and did not experience any issues with noise

 

Was in LV last week and the Rio Shuttle only runs between Harrah's and Rio

Staying at a Palace room in December and the place is a maze to me.

 

Best tower for location and quick and easy access to the strip is the Augustus, it also has the best view of the Bellagio Fountains - Room to strip in under 2 minutes.

 

I stayed in the Palace Tower for four nights starting 7/4. I thought it was a good location I went to the pool early 2 days and you can just walk across from the elevators. Also was easy to get to the buffet or either casino area. I had the 16th floor with a view of the mountains. I liked the décor of the remodeled room. I have included a few no so
good pictures but they may help.

Based on what everyone has said, I will definitely ask for a high floor - or a remodeled room! They look great.

 

I have Booked a comped 'forum classic room'. IS that the wording for old and worn? What semi comparable room should I ask for?

 

"Classic" is CET-speak for the oldest room at certain properties. They use the term at Paris and Rio, too. At CP it's not a bad room. Clean, maintained, not tiny. Same size as TI and Paris rooms. That was considered big in the late 70s when Forum Tower was built. The rooms were redone about 10 yrs ago or so. Great location for casino, forum shops and garage. If you don't get upgraded it's not horrible.

I have never been comped for CP. I pay reduced rates or book through Priceline for a Forum room then deploy the $20 sandwich ($50 if over a weekend.) I always go for -and get- Octavius because the rooms are bigger, no blocked views and I like the quiet location near the pools. Most think it's too removed, though. If you want to be near the strip go for Augustus. If you don't mind being away from the strip Palace was just redone and has direct access to the pools. Ask for a even numbered room in Palace for a pool view.

 

Ever since the Roman Tower became the Julius Tower, there are no longer any "must avoid" rooms at CP. The Forum Tower classic is currently their lowest level room, but it's a perfectly fine accommodation.

Your bet would probably be to shoot for an upgrade to the Palace Tower. These were just renovated, they are bigger than Forum rooms, and there is a lot of inventory as it's a huge tower.

Caesars considers this the next step up on their room hierarchy, as when I have comp rooms there on the rate calendar, they are typically for Forum and Palace towers.

Overall, I'm guessing that a $20 at check in to upgrade from forum to palace has a pretty good success rate.

Have stayed in Augustus and Forum. Which other wold be a good first time try?
