Hello and goodbye... as always...

    I've been going to Vegas for...way too long. Started out playing Martingale in the Frontier, then to quarter blackjack at the Trop, then black chips at places like Mandalay, Palazzo, Wynn, and Cosmo.

    I went from crashing in my car in my early twenties to getting RFB at mini-suites. Now that I have children, I look at Vegas through their perspectives, and tend to book places where my five-year old daughter can enjoy the pool or where there's enough around for my teenager to do. Since I learned "happy wife, happy life" years ago, shopping always figures into my calculus as well.

    I spent some time at Tripadvisor before coming here - but disliked some of the comments. Perhaps I'm thin-skinned, but it is what it is. I'm looking forward to sharing what little I know and delving into all the information that's here.

    @dickens1298 We've done the Vegas w/kid thing too. He finally turned 21 this year, nice to have him join us for bartop VP and a drink. When he's not texting his GF that is.

    Welcome aboard. You'll love it here. I gave up on Trip Advisor many many moons ago. It's just a giant bitch fest. My breaking point was when some lady left a bad review about a resort (I forgot which one) in LV for not having candies on the pillows daily.

    I can certainly think of "worst of times" at Vegas (when you go broke at the tables), but spending the night in a car was - for whatever reason - certainly not one of them. :)
