    My Trip Report

Well, my bags are pretty much packed and I’m getting ready to watch my favorite gambling movie, “Let it Ride”, so I’m in the final stages of my Vegas countdown before liftoff.

This will be the sixth straight year that I’ll be in Vegas during the third week of July. It will be nice to get out of the Florida humidity for a while and into the dry heat….err furnace.

I was supposed to go in June but I just wasn’t feeling the Vegas vibe that I usually feel so I ended up cancelling my trip, with no regrets. Then about three weeks ago my good VMB buddy, MrJVegas, got ahold of me and told me he was going to Vegas and with absolutely no arm-twisting needed I made my travel arrangements and have been extremely psyched up for this trip since.

This will be my first split trip ever. First four days will be in the Rush Tower at the Golden Nugget and the last four days will be in a strip view room at Treasure Island.

My goal is to post 100 pics, but we’ll see if I can pull it off. Either way, I plan on burning up my iPhone and iPad with a fun TR with lots of pics.

I’ve got some plans but not as many as I have in prior trips. At this point, after visiting Vegas for 35 plus years, I’ve done a hell of a lot and a hell of a lot of it a hell of a lot of times. This trip I plan to play BJ and roll the bones a little bit, with some down time and just chilling.

I’ll definitely report on some of the construction projects going on at MC, downtown and Resorts World. If anyone has anything they want me to check out let me know and I’ll do my best.

Here are the things I’m looking forward to doing:

    · Hitting the tables with MrJVegas and catching up with him.

    · Peppermill, for drinks & chow

    · I’m going to check out South Point and Silverton. I've heard lots of nice things about them.

    · Tap, Lago, Shake Shack, Grand Luxe, Nine Fine Irishmen are fo sho on my dance card

    · Hugo Boss, (gotta keep the tradition alive!)

    · I don’t drink a lot but one night I plan on getting really well lubricated and hopefully not vomit.

    · Checking out the sports book at Cosmo.

    · I purchased a really rare casino chip at Spinettis, over the phone last week, so I’m going there to pick
it up. I’ll definitely post a pic. Bonus points to anyone who has ever heard of the casino…..more on this later.

I'm also going to bet whatever I have left of my BR on the last day on Floyd Mayweather to beat McGregor. Crappy odds, to be sure, but IMHO this is about as sure of a thing as there is in boxing. Let the debate begin. ;)

Anyway, enough of the preamble. Next stop, Vegas baby!!! Looking forward to a grrrrreat trip and hope you guys enjoy my live TR. I know I’ll enjoy trying to keep everyone here at VMB entertained with my exploits……..

    :peace:

I think the odds on Mayweather are great - I'm seeing -600 right now. Maybe Floyd suddenly got old and lost enough quickness during the couple years off that McGregor can catch him, but I seriously doubt it. I think the true odds on this fight are probably somewhere between 40-1 and 50-1 against McGregor, so laying 6-1 on Floyd is a steal.

Woohoo! Have a great trip! I popped in to check out South Point my last trip, pretty fun, my friend raved about the oysters at the seafood place there. I love the Peppermill but I have yet to have a drink around their fire pits. Gonna try this next time. If you can, check out the video poker options there. I recall seeing nickle vp by the door, but I don't know what they have at the bar. Will be following along!

They are capturing dumb money on McGregor, and I suspect they might suddenly limit their willingness to take exposure to Mayweather if a $60,000 bettor walked in.

I think they are somewhat correct. Mayweather has danced and not been smacked hard in a while, thats going to most likely change.

They've given interviews saying if they had to post a fair line it would be closer to 100-1.

Have you seen the McGregor training videos? Sheesh.

This fight is a joke. McGregor would be more than a 6 to 1 underdog the #15 guy in Floyd's weight class. This fight is taking place because each guy is going to make 50 M, not because Conor has a real chance.

Good job cancelling the June trip, I went 20-23 and it hit 120 everyday day. The hottest ive ever been and quite literally like sticking my head in a blast furnace
Mayweather -600 is one of the easiest bets I've run across in boxing in quite a while. How is McGregor going to consistently hit him:popcorn:....well he's not and as usual mayweather will torture another victim for 12 rounds instead of the ko...this snoozefest is not worthy of a ppv purchase imo.

Agree with this 1000%. McGregor throws big looping overhand punches that wouldn't catch a big slow heavyweight like George Foreman, much less Floyd Mayweather. Floyd will have time to block/duck twice. And they're projecting the line to be closer to -500 by fight night. It's boxing and anything could theoretically happen, but -500 is stealing.

Ugh!!! I was literally 5-10 minutes from going to the airport when I got a text from Southwest telling me they delayed my flight which would have caused me to miss my connecting flight to LV. No more flights out of Pensacola with Southwest today so I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to head out. :bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang: One less day in Vegas but it might preserve my BR a little. I'll let ya know if I make it out there.
