Okay, I follow the Tunica Horseshoe Facebook page. This came up today. All Total Rewards members who swipe at the promotional kiosks at Tunica Roadhouse Casino & Hotel and Horseshoe Tunica will receive 50 Tier Credits. Who in the world would care about getting 50 tier credits? I am thinking that for 99% of the people, these are totally worthless. Who thinks this stuff up? (okay, if somebody only had 14,950 credits, that swipe would get them to Diamond) the one percenters.
CET in AC is notorious for sending stupid offers like that. Yeah! I'm going to drive 2 1/2 hours to get $5 FP. Get real CET.
Yea, I get that $5 crap. I have gotten some - and it is rare that I even bet less than $5. So, not even one free spin. I find it insulting and throw them away.
I have played at both the same day several times since they started that, not once did I ever bother swiping my cards to get the bonus. I agree it's stupid as can get....
It's funny, but I can't say horrible or worst. As a promo to bring butts into the seats, it's no bueno, but if you're already there there's no point in not swiping. Fifty tier credits on tables takes some time getting to, and even on slots it's a little coin-in. Still, it's pretty bad. Along the lines of getting $1 in comps twice a month just putting my card in the machine. A dollar. Worst I've seen? The promos where they want you to earn 350 tier credits to get a $15 Macy's (or whatever) gift card. I laugh every time I see the e-mails! Embarrasing, really.
is it a one time swipe or a daily swipe? If its daily then I think it is actually a pretty good promo as it could encourage someone to spend a few days who might have been thinking about not going. It is not going to get the Diamond or 7* players.. it is going to be attractive to the person going to platinum who gets like 200 points a day and if they make a 3 day trip could add almost another day worth of gambling to them. If it is a 1 swipe thing then I have no idea who it would appeal too.
You can do it once a day, everyday I believe. But still...it's the same as running $250 through on slots or $500 through on video poker, which pretty much is nothing.
There has to be something behind it, even if (or maybe specifically) it's just to see who's paying attention. Look at all the promos they're running, they all require opt-in to marketing emails or whatever. Maybe they're going to do a purge.
We did it last year in Council Bluffs for a weekend we were there - could get 50 at Horseshoe & 50 at Harrahs. For me it was 200 less TC I had to worry about in November.
