Favorite final meal before heading home

Just wondering what meal you like to have before heading back home? From Downtown, I have hit the Le Thai lunch special the last couple of times. Good, cheap, seems to travel well and makes me want to return soon. Anybody else have a "go to" getaway meal?

 

We stay at Bellagio nd our final evening meal ( take the red eye out back to the east coast) is Jasmine. ....

 

I don't normally pay for meals when I'm in Las Vegas, and my flights are about an hour.

I typically eat a comped meal at a Steakhouse and order the largest cut of prime rib "very rare" or, if I order a steak, and can get it, "bruised", I pack "airtight containers" and large plastic bags to transfer my meal for the return flight home. I eat about a third to a half of the meat and the remainder goes home with me.

Yes, I'm realize that people will look at this as being "very cheap", but it feeds my son and I a quality meal and I for at least two days.

I have done this at the following steakhouses and always need to "re-container" because although the restaurant does a "good" job with the packaging, it's not "baggage safe".

Tender (Luxor)
Camelot (Excalibur)

 

I don't think it's cheap DaiLun but rather "smart" and "cunning". You are crazy "like a Fox".

 

Brunch at Veranda at the Four Seasons. ( usually leave on Sunday afternoon.)

 

Guys trip is always in-and-out burger. We have to be at the airport by 5 pm.

 

If staying mid-strip (Cosmo, usually), the final dinner is always Bardot.

If staying north-strip (Wynncore), the final lunch is usually Grimaldi's.

 

We had Grimaldi's the other night because our dining plans got squashed due to serious coughs/colds we aren't yet over. Was still tasty as a takeout in the room. Feed a cold...and go gamble.

Back to Wynn in a couple of weeks so we've got to get strong!

Country Club at the Wynn if it's on a weekday.

 

Check out at 11AM, go eat at IN and OUT on Tropicana, gas up the rental car, head for the Airport. My wife loves it, just ok for me.

 

We always take the early non-stop back to Milwaukee. So for us, it is usually the 777 overnight menu and then get the limo. The morning specials are rather tasty after a night of drinking. If we luck out with a 11 am ish flight, then Garden Court Buffet at MSS.

 

No real final meal tradition for the bride and I.
We have done the buffet a couple of trips when we've found ourselves at MGM Grand before flying out.
I like to have some comfort food in me before flying!

We like to do Ellis Island Steak for the last meal.

 

Don't know how this became my tradition, but
for several trips - my last meal was at Le Cafe Ill St. Louise at
Paris and I would always order a waffle covered in strawberries.
No idea when it started, or where I was staying, but it seemed
to go on for a lot of years.
Every trip - and then I noticed that I was always sort of depressed,
and I love waffles and strawberries - then I figured out it was because
it was my last meal in Vegas.

So this last trip - I ate it as my first meal the morning I arrived and
boy did it taste better !! LOL So I think this will be my new
tradition.

 

two seperate times, we ate at homestead the night before an early flight and I couldnt finish the whole steak after the appetizers we had...packed it up and home it went

last trip in June we at Alder and Birch at the Orleans, we had so much again that I couldnt finish the steak. now this one sat in the hotel about 4 days, not even refrigerated, lol...both places have those black and clear snap together to go boxes. i make sure its closed good, place it center of my hardcase roller between clothes to cushion the terrible baggage handlers and after a 3 hour plane ride and car drive home, never had any issues

homestead I ate as soon as I got home, the A&B although fantastic, I warmed it up and the dog went to town on it, still smelled good though

 

One meal plan I will never do again is attempting to eat a buffet and walk from mid Strip to McCarran.

 

We always take the early evening (7-:8:00 pm) flight home. We stay at The Cal. We get up and leisurely pack and check out, have "breakfast" at the Market Street Cafe. That gives us a few hours to mess around before we leave for the airport. By then, it's time to eat again, so e grab something at the airport, usually just subs or the like. Out fllght going home is never filled (only 40 to 50 people), so sometimes we eat on the plane because there's nobody to bother.
