I remember these in the San Antonio Airport. I see this as a big money maker for Spirit, Frontier, and Allegiant. They could charge $5 and put a credit card swiper on the outside -- since no one takes cash. Interesting article on why we don't have these anymore. I remember these in shopping malls too. We used to crawl under the door to save the dime.

I only remember seeing them a few times, but I do remember the little poem about them.

Here I sit, broken hearted. Paid a dime and only farted.

    :haha:

Most people think the Limbo originated in the Islands, not so ,it was the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC.

Thats not a pay toilet, that the new enhanced restroom experience our customers have been asking for.

I shudder at seeing this here as it will give casinos the idea to "Bring Back the Good Ol' Days!"

next time 'round I took a chance,
saved a dime and peed my pants

Last time I saw a pay toilet was 1995, New York Grand Central.

I remember them in some gas station restrooms when I was a kid. Now you can pee for free, if you can stand the disgusting restroom, but if you want free air, you are out of luck!!

Oh oh.....another fee. A toilet fee. Of course they'll "justify" this fee because they'll provide those little "doo-doo" drops in each stall.....

I remember those dime pay toilets, though. I'm 60 and I must've been about 11 last I saw them.

Please don't give airlines and casino executives ideas OK? For your convenience.....to serve you better.....with complimentary premium toilet paper.......I shake my head.

I'm 45 and I remember them. Just can't remember where I saw them. Probably somewhere in Toronto or Sudbury. I wasn't more than 10 for sure.
