So if a slot club offers 1 point for every $8 in on 99.96- 10/6 DDB vp and 1 point for every $16 in on 100.17- 10/7DB vp, which is the better game in the long run? Any thoughts?

The slot club offers $25 in cash back for every 1000 points earned.

Are you going to live in the casino? If not then I wouldn't even factor the comps into the equation. The DB game you can theoretically expect to come out ahead on, where the DDB game you'll have to eat/stay/etc. more than you will lose in order to come out "ahead".

Stackinchips, yeah I actually will stay there the whole time. I usually play my American Casino guide coupons the first day in Vegas, and then I'll be at this casino the entire trip. DDB is has an even wider variance than DB so I doubt I'd play it an entire trip anyway, but was just curious, all things being considered, what would be the better play, if the cash comps are factored in.

If you do $160000 coin in, you will earn $500 cash back from DDB and $250 cash back from DB. Your expectation from DDB gameplay is 159936 for an expected loss of $64. Your expectation from DB is 160272 for an expected win of $272.

Final result of DDB is +$436. Final result of DB is +$522. Looks like DB is the better play.

Edit: I just made up 160K coin in. As long as you play in $16k coin in batches, the results should be linear.

You will also get more comp dollars playing the DDB. I think its $125 based on the $160K coin-in. So depending what value one places on the comp dollars (I use 50%), then the return is almost identical. Both games have a high variance.

If you know the DDB strategy well, you might want to stick to that. 10/7/5 DB has an extremely tricky strategy and I could see errors bringing the return down quite a bit.

Db has less variance than ddb.

I assume that you are perfect on 10/7 db. That strategy is pretty complex imo. Cause those payouts are based on perfect play.

If not pick which game you are better at since it is so close.

I haven't played much DDB but I have been practicing it on the Win Poker software the past few days. I don't play 10/7 perfectly. In reviewing my practice play for DB I'm at 99.72 over about 2500 hands. No pro here, just like to go to Vegas and play VP a few times a year. I do like the idea of being able to actually sit at the bar and play a game for once now that they have a decent game at the bars. Will probably switch back and forth with plenty of JOB thrown in, especially if things go south.

I wouldn't play bartop JoB at 4Q though. I would walk nearby to D's Vue Bar upstairs and play the 8/5 Bonus progressive well before that.

No worries there tringlomane, I won't play JOB on the bartop, I'll play the 9/6 machines in front of the cashier. Just curious though, what is the point those 8/5 progressives at the D need to reach to turn positive?

I found website indicating that the 8/5 JOB royal needs to reach 8666 credits to reach 100%, but I guess the real question is, what does the 8/5 JOB progressive jackpot need to reach to be better than 99.17 BP?

I think it is every $500 more bumps it up 1% or there about
