Tacos & Tequila is pretty decent. Good margaritas and no complaints about the food (the usual "Tex-Mex" style). There are a couple of conveniently placed Starbucks. Luxor no longer has clubs (neither of the two that were there were worth the effort). They have Blue Man, Carrot Top, and Criss Angel, but I wasn't interested in checking out any of them. My cousins went to Criss Angel and liked it.

I always watch Vegas Vacation while I'm on the plane out there. I've wanted to stay at the Luxor since my first visit, but just never have. Nothing brings me down there when I'm in town, and I get better comps downtown.

Maybe partially because they can, but probably also because if the renovated rooms cost the same as the old ones, everyone would want them and it would result in a lot of unhappy guests. Making them cost something allows people to be content with the cheaper, older option.

Edit: Oh yeah, does anyone know of any plans/timeline to renovate the tower rooms and suites? I bet those would look fantastic with the Cleo color scheme, and I've got a trip planned for September anyway.

Had one of the old pyramid rooms in March and I liked it. Really liked the pool there and T & T was good.

I like Luxor! The moving walkways to Excalibur and Mandalay make it really easy to check out the other casinos on that end of the strip. It's pretty quick to get to MGM etc as well.

I've only stayed in the Tower rooms and really liked them although it's a bit of a hike from the casino if you have mobility issues.
