Borgata changes

With Borgata being moved under the mLife umbrella, I'm expecting significant worsening of gambling conditions there. I have heard that craps is now 3/4/5 odds. Is anyone aware of other recent changes? I dread the arrival of 6:5 BJ.

But I would be curious from those who have played AC for a while, and still do, about how other blackjack changes have been received there. Certainly other casinos up there have had some 6-5 tables and also those lower-limit tables where you could bet from $1 to $5, but had to pay a quarter per hand. Do the 6-5 tables or the quarter-ante tables still exist at any of the AC casinos that are still open? What about H17 tables......has H17 become mainstream in AC? Heck, I heard stories that at one point in its history AC tried to introduce single and double-deck games, but players were very suspicious of possible dealer cheating, and they didn't last long.

I brought this up in the National Harbor thread, but the reason I ask the above questions is that I've long considered AC gamblers to be by and large savvier than that of the general gambling population. I just have my doubts over whether the large scale introduction of 6-5 tables would go over well at all at Borgata, especially if it crept into the $25 level.

Time will tell, I guess.

 

March 1, 2017 the buffet special ($10comp for a buffet meal for a black card holder, maximum 2 people/card) will change from $10comp to $12.50comp.

 

Was there in January found that the craps dealers and pit bosses were pretty rude to all players plus I was not rated as well. Just a real down vibe ( first time i really didnt enjoy playing there and have been going there for a number of years) Hope that this is a aberration not a sign of things to come

 

I was at Borgata about a month ago and the tables were 3:2, H17, $15 minimum. I have also seen 3:2 $10 tables in the past. I haven't seen the $.25 per hand fee in awhile in any AC casino. Bally's Wild Wild West has a few $5 tables @6:5, one $5 craps table, and two or three Roulette Tables. Caesar's sub $25 tables were all 6:5 and $15 is the minimum. Haven't seen a $10 table at Caesars in awhile. Harrah's has a mix of 6:5 and 3:2 tables @ $15 minimum. At $25, I believe they are all 3:2. I played at Resorts last week at a $10 table, 3:2, H17, automatic shuffler. At Tropicana, I don't believe 6:5 has reared its ugly head yet, and it seemed as if the minimums were $15. Haven't been to Golden Nugget in awhile, but about 6 months ago I played at a $10 table that was 3:2. At Bally's I played on a 3:2 $10 table about a month ago

But let's hope that the suits don't mess up a good thing at Borgata, they are hitting on all 8 cylinders over there, but now that MGM owns 100% it's too irresistible to leave things alone under the Profit Growth Plan.

Craps is now 3/4/5.Dealers told me it changed about 30 days ago.
All BJ games were the same as I remember from my last trip there in November.
The casino personnel has always been a mixture of very friendly and some just going through the motions.Its not really much different than most casinos.
My biggest problem at Borgata is I get rated artificially low by a lot!
The same thing happened to a friend this weekend.
It happens too often there to be a mistake.
Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but it is really looking like a directive from management.

 

Glad to hear BJ conditions haven't changed much. I am very unhappy with the conditions at National Harbor and am strongly considering driving to Borgata for my next couple of trips even though I have to drive past NH to do it.

 

Why not go to MD Live to play? Or do you want somewhat of a full-scale resort like MGMNH or Borgata?

 

Or go up to Rocky Gap in Cumberland, play $25 double deck. Weeknight room is $115 w/ 99 free play.

 

MGM brought with them their lovely Resort Fee. That started in January. Its lower than what CET sticks up your keister, but more than what the Taj (had), Trop and Golden Nugget all charge. Plus the mandatory tax thing that AC does. Not sure if this is waived for better players like MGM does in Vegas.

 

We like the full scale resort experience. Since it's a minimum of a 2 hour drive each way for me to get to a casino (Charles Town or NH), I like a comped night stay and a good meal while I'm there. My wife is a light gambler (rapid roulette and VP) so she likes to hit the pool and spa while I gamble. It's funny, she will whine about losing $50 at VP and then not hesitate to spend $300+ at the spa. We also like to hit the Comedy Club at Borgata.

I've been to MD Live and Horseshoe Baltimore but they are almost 3 hours each way so it's not the greatest day trip.

 

Does anybody know when Borgata is officially switching over to Mlife rewards?
