    Good Morning VMB,

I'm sure this question was asked in previous posts but I'm looking for a more current response.

For my upcoming May trip, my brother requested going for Hibachi during one of our dinner nights. He never asks for things like this so I believe I need to accommodate him. If any of you have any good Hibachi recommendations, I would appreciate it! Doesn't have to be on the Las Vegas strip as we'd drive anywhere within 10-20 miles of MGM Grand. Specifically, he's looking for good food (lobster/filet and possibly sushi), good (and fun) Hibachi chefs, and good Sake' and Japanese beers!

    Thanks,
    Charlie

By "hibachi", do you mean teppan yaki?

I am assuming that's what the OP means. And the best on the Strip is Mizumi at the Wynn

UKFanatic have you done the teppanyaki room before? If so where are the tables located? Do they have a view of the waterfall?

The tables are located essentially in the back left, if you're facing the entrance to Mizumi. They have a decent view of the main Mizumi waterfall and a great view of the Intrigue waterfall. If you want to get a good view of both, I suggest sitting at the table at the second to the back right (if that makes sense).

Mizumi was my most recent gold standard for teppanyaki in Vegas, but on my latest trip, the quality of the food and the service was poor. If my experience is still representative, I would not recommend eating there, especially not for the price tag.

When did you last eat there? I was last there in November and the food was excellent as always

There's a decent Japanese steakhouse/hibachi place at the Golden Nugget. They also accept GN comps so, if you play there, you could earn cash off your bill.

Funnily enough, it was also November as well. I sure hope my experience was just a bad day, because I was going to swear off teppanyaki forever.
