I'm sure it is. They're getting raked over the coals on TripAdvisor for all manner of issues related to the construction. I can tolerate a lot of shit for a good deal, and I think I know what I'm signing up for-- will be trying my luck during the last week of April. Secretly hoping that a lot of the complaints are just overblown, but as long as I have earplugs it won't matter.

So far the hotel lobby doesn't look bad at all. Actually looks better than from what i remember it. I spoke to the front desk and she stated the lobby will be at the area by the poker room behind curtains. Will take photos of it later.

I got upgraded to hotel32 (it's meh) and you can see the pool construction from here. When i venture around later and if i see something amiss I'll take more photos.

Hollywood, did you see if the VIP check in room was still functioning, or is that gone as well?

So ViP check in is still there. The new check in by the time you get here will be next to concierge next to poker room. I was a bad boy and took a photo of what was behind the curtains

I just changed my upcoming reservation from Hotel 32. After so many negative comments of late I was afraid to take a chance. I do love Hotel 32. Hope I'm not disappointed staying at Mandalaybay

Is it a gong show at the. MC? I was interested in staying there at the end of April. hmmm

Because I want to be cheap this time around, gamble a bit more etc. And I've never stayed there.

If you are just going to want a room I'm sure Monte Carlo will be fine. Just expect lots of construction and construction noise and also no pool on site.

Personally I go for the resort experience so I want no construction noise and I want a pool right on site to be available.

But if you want cheap it's definitely one of the best options right now

Hmm ya cheap for a reason I guess. It's a good location IMO. But yah might not be the most comfortable over all experience.

    Tough call.

Rhat timinh really bites for me, personally. Wanted to stay there while it's still Monte Carlo because I have a thing for Vegas hotels named for cities and the price is obviously right. But this is a wedding trip, and won't subject fiancee/wife to something so potentially obnoxious

Hotel32 offered a "sleeping kit"? Did you happen to partake and check what was included?

Yeah I read "sleeping kit" as well lol. That can't be a good sign. I still want to but after emailing them regarding still paying the resort fee. Reading the reply I have decided not to book there.

Temp Check-in area is going to be a pain. Although I think MGM has the online check-in now.

I am sure they will be 'giving' away rooms during Demo and construction. I wonder if they will also wait the resort fees and parking fees.

Crazy times at MC, We have a good friend who is a cocktail waitress. The bosses said half the slot machines are going away during the construction. Just fired 10 pit bosses and more firings to come. No relocation offered either.

Fired or laid off? Either way, if you need to downsize during a period of change it is a good opportunity to get rid of staff that you feel aren't a part of your future plans.
