A couple friends stayed there last week for MM and they were only offered access to the MGM pools, not Mandalay. Didn't matter for them since they came over to Aria with me at the sky pool, but it makes me wonder if you have to specifically request access to Mandalay

Mandalay is usually packed in the summer, so adding some more bodies is going to make it real tight. But for someone who is staying at Monte Carlo, you do get access to two solid options for the inconvenience.

That's interesting. I haven't heard too much about this pool swap thing until last week. I wonder if it's new because people who didn't know about the construction complained about not having pool access.

Knucklehead and h0llywood please do let us know what happens. Seems like a nice way to try out some champagne pools on a beer pool budget. ;)

Not a pool person, but fail to see benefit of walking or ubering all the way to Mandalay for the pool. Even MGM is a good walk. I am sure there are resons but Aria with tram would be closer I think. NYNY too, but small pool

Yes, Aria and NYNY are both too small to add MC guests.

From MC, you hopefully would not take the tram to Aria. They share the same tram station.

Is the Monte pool expected to be completed in time to open at all this season?

Last time I was there a few months ago it was just rubble...

I spoke to MC in regards to this and they said it will not be open at all this season.

I'm trying to figure out where they could move the lobby... Maybe in the old PUB location if nothing is there yet?

My guess would be near where the show tickets are sold by the MLife desk or the old Poker room as there are current booths for employees to stand and it is far enough from the main lobby that they can close the entire lobby down for renovation.

I would avoid MC at all costs during the renovation unless you need a dirt cheap room on the strip. The rates have tanked probably due to half the resort being closed. It's going to sound like a aweful place to stay until the renovations are finished.

Park MGM looks really nice though and I hope they fix up the old resort. I'd love to have another option near City Center. MC is in a great south strip location.

Booked a MyVegas 2 night reward at Monte Carlo in May and thought it was odd it was so cheap. Probably should've done some research first. Doubt I'll use either pool since they're so far away, although at least they've added Mandalay as an option. It's a little ludicrous that they're charging the whole resort fee while the casino is half closed, and I'm sure if I was paying full price for the room it would bother me. At least I get to see the Monte Carlo before it goes away. (This will be my 12th trip, and I have never set foot inside the MC.)

I'll be at MC from the 5th April (for the rest of the month). If Mandalay Bay beach option is open then I'm grabbing that for the family !

Lobby relocation doesn't sound great though.

I'm glad I read this. My wife and I are planning a trip sometime this fall. I know Monte Carlo is normally on the less expensive end of resorts, but I couldn't believe how much cheaper it is than NYNY. We were thinking of staying there instead. I'm all about saving money where I can, but I don't think I want to risk Monte Carlo. Thanks for starting this thread!

Agree... Where ever they relocate it, it's gonna be a real mess.
