I get offers for free rooms at all Mlife properties in Vegas.

I always stay at Aria and do most of my gambling there.

    I have three questions.

1 - If I were to stay at The Mirage(for example), would it affect my offers from Aria?

2 - If I were to stay at The Mirage and play half as much coin-in as I normally do at Aria, would it affect my offers from Aria?

3 - If I were to stay at The Mirage and play significantly less than I normally do, or not gamble at all, would it affect my offers from Aria?

1 - This question needs a little more info. Are you planning to stay at Mirage and completely gamble there? It would not affect your property specific offers from Aria.
2- This would affect your Mirage specific offers and corporate offers.
    3- Same as above.

FYI, in the big picture and scheme of things, low playing anytime will eventually catch up and affect offers from anywhere.

Does this include if you paid for a room and didn't gamble or just if you stayed on an offer and didn't gamble?

Regardless if you're paying for a room, or on a COMP offer, you're still going to get dinged if low/no play trip. If you want to pay for a room and truly not gamble and not get dinged for it, don't use your MLIFE card for anything. Anytime you use your card to access anything on property, if scanned, system picks up that you were on property. This would also include booking your room online using your MLIFE tier discount cause they would know you're on property once you check in.

Good to know. Frustrating when you just want to enjoy Vegas and just don't want to pay for parking or get credit for the money you are spending. Not taking comps, just skimming some small benefits. Wish you could call "timeout". lol

I don't have a specific plan, just thinking about possibilities.
For the sake of the question, I'll go with a probable scenario.

If I stayed at The Mirage, I would focus most of (or all) of my play at that property.
    I would completely avoid Aria.

Will simply staying at another property affect my offers from Aria?

Will my amount of coin-in while staying at The Mirage affect my offers from Aria?

    Thanks for the replies.

To answer both your questions, simply taying at another property would not affect "property specific" offers for Aria. Depending on your play (low/high/no play, etc), it would effect your MLIFE corporate offers.

    1. No, except that I found Aria stopped sending me offers after I had not stayed/played there at all for a year.

About to find out myself , as i stayed 2 times at Delano with a pretty decent gamble roll , the comps they offered me were not as good as i think they should be , so i switched over to Wynn/Encore because i think it is the most beautiful resort there is.

I'm with easy money on the above. I actually shot myself in the foot before with Mlife. I would stay/play at Bellagio and I got property direct offers there above my standard corporate offer for the same joint. I focused my play and I was comped well.

Next trip I stayed at Mirage, played there but bounced at other MGM joints including Bellagio. Since my coin-in at the B went from, say $8K to $1K, my direct offers got shittier compared to my corporate offer there.

So I brought down my property offers by playing low there due to staying elsewhere. So if you stay somewhere else, just dont visit Aria and ruin your ADT there.

(This scenario is not analogous to the experience and questions of the OP, as Wynn/Encore is not an MLife property.)

Out of curiosity, what did you play at Mandalay Bay? Average bet? How many hours? Do you plan to play at a similar or higher level at Wynn/Encore?

I'm changing the original question a little bit to see if I understand the replies:

If one is staying at NYNY and does $50k of play there and then on the same day does $10k at MGM.....does this mean that the additional $10k at MGM will increase the corporate offers, have no effect on NYNY specific offers, and create MGM specific offers which will likely be less than the corporate offers? If that's correct, it seems like the MGM play maybe helps a little as long as it's not bringing down the player's MGM average.

All MLife casinos can see all of your MLife play.

I don't know for sure, but it stands to reason that individual casinos make offers based on your total play, and then hope to get most of it.

In your specific example where you stay at NYNY and do $50k there and $10k at MGM Grand, I would expect that you would start to get offers from MGM Grand. If they weren't as sweet as your NYNY offers, it would probably just be because MGM Grand is a more expensive property. The conventional wisdom is that spreading your play around MGM properties while staying on a property-specific offer won't hurt your future offers, but it can affect how much your "home" casino will give you in back end comps during the stay.

But Grid's account seems to be evidence that spreading your play can hurt you in certain scenarios. I never do it, so I don't have first hand experience.

One or two players in the past have hinted that you needed to do a certain % of your play over a certain amount of time at a property (or just stay there) in order to get property-specific offers. But no solid numbers on that. I've stayed at MGM Grand on most of my last 7 or 8 trips, but I stayed at Luxor instead in January. I played about 1/2 my normal level, but certainly enough that I'd expect to get offers from them. I've gotten an offer from MGM Grand since that trip, but none yet from Luxor.

That could just be a timing thing, or maybe I didn't play at Luxor enough to make it a large enough % of my play over the last year, or my whole premise might be off. My guess is it's timing - I was already on MGM's radar, but wasn't on Luxor's, and my trip might not have been in time to be included in whatever offers they've sent recently. I still expect to get something from them at some point.
