As to timing... we request around the 25th of January this year and it took 20 days before they called. Rates had gone up and the did cover that. Doubt that is policy, but who knows. They set themselves up for that with the Jan 31st deadline for booking.

talk to a different host, not every host or casino employee knows their job, lol...just being honest...you are allowed to do it that way, what you can do if the flight you purchased fits into the $750 airfair, go to the host office, explain the situation and they should reimburse you, might be in form of reward credits but better than nothing

if you read the rules for the trip, it says it is basically for coach seats, but many host will book for 1st class seats if it fits within your airfair, also they always seem to add early bird on southwest...they can do what they need to when they know how to do their job

My recent booking looks like they did earlybird for us. Interesting.

I am still waiting and mine went in 26th.

I swear that passport waits so the prices go up and they can get a better cut on percentages (conspiracy theory). That would seem counterintuitive as it would cost the parent company more money, and should be able to catch that.

I think every time I have done it the price I could have gotten myself and what they end up paying is more (never out of my pocket). I think with some people they would be better off letting us do it and then reimbursing us. Save them money and they would have more time in passport, if they are truly backed up.

I mean how long does it take to book airfare.

I wonder how much money it is costing CET? Lets say a customer is ready to book flights that cost $600 RT. By time they get booked, it is $730. CET never hears about the lost $130 since it is within the allowance. That has to add up to lots of money.

Been to Vegas MULTIPLE times....always do the booking myself, airlines, rooms, ect. It always goes smooth. Last september, booked my DIA1 trip through my then host...reservations at Caesars are perfect. Book my DIA2 trip through my NEW host, and it has and STILL is a nightmare, even 60 days later.
Sent my info in on January 27, 2017 for our June trip. As others has said, waited FOREVER. It was assigned to a travel agency out of Chicago.
On 3/1/17 I get an email from the new host saying the trip has been booked, and the overage of $130 needs a credit card or use reward credits, but needs to be taken care of within 24 hours from HIS email from the travel agency (which was 8 am on 3/1/17). Being on the road, i just emailed him back and told him to use reward credits (I had $249 in reward credits). It wasn't until 3/2/17 at 11:30 am that the host emailed me back, telling me it was a 2:1 reward credit purchase and i didn't have enough. This is not advertised on the rules and regulations. After a few hateful emails back and forth (yes, hateful from the host, telling me to just put it on my credit card cause its JUST $130), I did call the travel agency to put it on my credit card......and GUESS WHAT.....they hadn't heard back within 24 hours, and cancelled the flight. Travel Agency was wonderful getting it all back in. Back to the email I go, telling my host what an idiot he is (and I mean it to this day) and that I do not want him as a host. He nearly cost me my benefit vacation by waiting so long.
Fast forward to booking a second room as a comp for our travel partners at Caesars. Rules and Regulations state for the DIA trips
    • Aspiration offers are in addition to qualified benefits or offers and can be used in any order during the valid redemption period.
I have comp rooms available at Caesers, but will they let me book it? Nope. But the rules say I can!!! They DONT KNOW THE RULES..... have no idea what the rules even read, and their company MADE THE RULES.

I swear im not hard to get along with.... I just want to receive my benefits as the rules are written......is that so hard? Not trying to pull a fast one on them. I just want my benefits and offers WITHOUT A FIGHT, as THEY wrote the rules, not me. Ive been a customer (Diamond or Higher) with CET for over 15 years.

I emailed the Director of Marketing in Las Vegas that takes care of the Asperations part, telling him to advertise that reward credits for overage on the airfare is 2:1, but it still isn't on there.

I agree with others when they say that some hosts are worthless while others know what they are doing. And to top it off, after I told my local host to get lost, he has....with no replacement. Fine with me, I would rather have no host than a complete idiot.

Curios to what others think....am i being too picky? Should I just book my friends at the Wynn on a comp or should I keep fighting these idiots to get the 2nd room? It would obviously be better to have them with us at Caesars, but if i have to fight to get my benefits, I would rather just do it the easy way.....

Triple Cash, I don't think you are being unreasonable. I have had some really bad experiences with CET flight bookings and some decent ones but seldom great ones with a host where everything went smoothly, so I feel your pain.

When is your trip? I would still try and have your friends stay near you, even though you may need to deal with more drama. I think you'll regret at least not giving it a shot. "Worst" case scenario is that your friends will be at Wynn but I would try getting them closer to you first. Once everything has been arranged, then let it go. (That's advice I have had to give to myself when my not-complicated arrangements were FINALLY properly made.)

Thanks Flowers, it truly is great advice. Our trip is June 19-23rd. Its our friends first time to Vegas so having them closer is of course to our advantage. Just super aggravated that its such an uphill battle to arrange this year for some reason. They write the rules, then ignore them. But I do appreciate the reply of not seeming unreasonable. Yes I will keep trying then I will let it go.
