I know it's not the greatest of properties but what do you like there? Any restaurant or VP bar or casino game that I need to check out? I haven't spent much time there. Also, anyone spend much time at the pool(s) at Luxor? Ending my upcoming trip there and wondered how their pool complex is. Any info on cabana or daybed pricing would also be appreciated (just hoping to have an idea before I called them). Thanks.

My favorite part of Luxor is it has a Tram to Mandalay Bay.

Pool is a simple shallow square. Not much happening there. Not sure on cabana prices.

Tender and Rice are good restaurants.

    I haven't stayed there (yet).
I'd have to say attending a Carrot Top show has been the highlight of my visits to Luxor.
I tried their buffet twice and was underwhelmed both times.

Even if you're not a Luxor fan it's a nice oasis on the journey between MB and Excal...

Going to M-Bay is for sure GREAT!

We find walking is faster and easier. And stuff to look at along the way.

Tacos nd Tequila is one of the best Mexican restaurants on the Strip. And Carrot Top is a decent show. otherwise, there's nothing really special about Luxor

Tender steakhouse is quite good, but aside from that there's not a whole lot going on there. The fact that you can tram or walk through it and the Ex to get from MB to just outside NYNY in the summer heat is about the only time I spend in there anymore.

Carrot Top was awesome! Sit in the first 3 rows or so and you'll probably get a free shot of Crown.

My go to place to bring my kids. Cheap and they love the pyramid and looking at a castle from their room. They're not old enough to notice the differences in quality yet so that's a plus for me.

Tender is good and Rice and Company is not the best sushi in town but pretty good. Go for a tower room over the Pyramid. Rooms are nicer and the elevators work way better. They do have a decent double deck game at $25 a hand.

I have stayed there twice and had good experience both times after not expecting much. Book a tower room as they are much nicer than the pyramid ones for very little extra money. Pool area was nice, not as fancy as some of the larger mega resorts. It is a good size, gets a fair bit of sun and never seemed overly crowded. Don't remember actual cabana pricing, but remember is being much cheaper on weekdays (seemed like a bargain). Service was decent, slots seemed to be fair and money lasted a bit longer than other places. I personally like the location as I prefer the south end (MGM, NYNY, Mandalay Bay all within a few minutes walk). I would not hesitate to go back.

I don't know the name of it but there is a video poker bar near the lobby that is very nice and has great service.

I've also stayed a few times - never in the Pyramid though. Each time I have received an "instant upgrade" to a tower room after booking a Pyramid room (through the mlife page - never direct).

Never tried the buffet - however Tender is good. I got a free ticket to Criss Angel - so that ruined one stay. Carrot Top is a must see - I saw his show a couple of years apart and there was a good 50% new material. I've never even seen the pool while staying there - it's always been closed or booked for some DJ/promo event. I found the casino to not be as smoky as others - probably due to the more open foyer drawing the smoke up. I'd stay there again though. Nothing fancy but far from terrible.

I stayed there on my first trip to LV. Like everybody else has said, it's nothing special. However it's inexpensive, relatively quiet, the pool area is nice, and close enough to other properties that are a bit more "happening".

That said, I do plan to make a trip there on my next visit to check out the craps tables.

If you're planning to play video poker keep an eye on the pay tables since some of them are brutal. There are a few All Star Poker machines in the high limit room with 25 cent 9/5 JoB but most of the bar tops are 7/5.

I stayed there when it first opened and again in 2013. Pyramid was cool for a day or so but the tower is the way to go. I hate that they "dethemed" the place as much as they have. It's always going to be a pyramid so what's the point of trying to change the theme inside.

I second UKFan's recommendation of Tacos & Tequila. Their tequila selection is extensive and includes organic tequila. While they have some typical Mexican items (nachoes, fajitas) many menu items are created with Chef Saul's unique style. We love the food (if you like brunch try the brioche French toast with caramel sauce, it is divine) as well as the drinks at T&T. Enjoy!
