DTG is so dead though that they really only need 8 full-pay units sadly.

Only three times in Vegas in 15 trips have I failed to get on a VP bank that I wanted to play that was full pay, or a positive progressive. The Aces and Eights at CC on a Sat., Luxor's quarter progressive when it was at $4800?!?!, and MSS at Boar's Head for about 20 minutes once.

And @topcard I dunno about the floor, but I got Joseph James (local craft beer) comped at the bar in Sept.

Downtown may not be the best hotel and casino but it still a good place to stay. They might not that much machine in their casino but they have decent number of games to play. The good thing about them is they keep on improving their services and offering.

I would like to believe this but it's not what I've seen. It's more like they take a step forward then two back. Let's hope your right in the future.

Good to know...I've never had it, but I'll make a point to order one in a few weeks while I'm there!

I'm at Downtown Grand now. The premium rooms are nicer than Golden Nuggets in South Tower i say. But Omg the machines sooo tight. $400 in one machine didn't last even 15 minutes

I'm writing this at 612 am from the Commissary. I read other posts where they said they were closed. Well they closing for good after super bowl clerk told me. She was saying how management wants people to use there other restaurants. Well ok. But it's so dumb I think. They must do a good business in the morning. Plus people in a hurry I'm sure. So want something fast. Someone not very bright in management. But what do I know, a 40 something who hasn't had a job since 19!

I hope they keep the free coffee. When you say commissary is closing what is that for sure. Is that the place where they make breakfast sandwiches quick? or another joint? the breakfast joint is busy in the morning I have been there. Free coffee is something they need to keep to offer something no one else does DT. Not all of us want to pay Starbucks prices, I just want good ole black coffee to get going.

Not sure if they keep the free coffee. They should. It's a nice perk. The Commissary is the place where they make quick breakfast sandwiches. They used to be open weekdays until 3 pm. Now close at 1030. But reopen at 4 on weekends. Serve good food. Plus there a bar there also

. Starbucks prices are crazy. I just read on cnbc that Starbucks didn't do well in the last year...or last quarter. They always packed. I don't see how they not making the bank.

I was there again today and the bank with 25c 9/6 JoB is back in front of the cashier but now there are eight machnes. The other 12 are still where they were last week. I will report this to vpfree2.com so it can be updated.

I really want this place to succeed but I can't justify playing there any more at least for now. My offers have decreased again and the point multipliers in January excluded video poker. I will probably be back if mailers and promos improve.

Staying there for the first time in March. Since they've opened, they have been one of my luckiest places to play DT. Always seem to have a good time there. Service has always been exceptional on the casino floor from my experience.

I stayed at Downtown Grand last September and again a couple of weeks ago. The casino was definitely busier this time when I visited and quite a good selection of slot machines had been added since my visit in September. I found the VP Jacks or Better was very generous with 4OAK's. I had stayed at The Lady Luck a number of times and The Downtown Grand is a nice improvement. I really hope they succeed as I'm kinda keen on the place. And by the way, The Triple George Grill at The Grand has excellent food and service!

My gf and I were at the DTG on 1/15/17.We both had LVA and ACG coupons. We each had $10 free play and $10 MP.
They put $20 on both of our cards which was fine with us.We played vp at the bar with the free $20 and bought in with
another $20.We played for over an hour, had our comp drinks and bs`d with the bartender. We cashed out a few bucks
ahead. It was early in the day.The place was clean, staff was friendly and it was semi busy.No complaints here!

As promised I was to report about the ACG coupons. I redeemed all 3 of the ACG coupons today (I'm currently at DTG) and got $20 in free play and a voucher for the $25 free ace, which lost BTW. I had an ace and a six, the dealer's top card was showing a ten and when he checked his hole card he had an ace, bummer. As for the $20 in free play I think the free buy bet on the 4 and 10 was used as $10 in free slot play and the 5x's points was used as another $10 in free play for a total of $20 in free play.

Srvanwyk - did you get an invite to their party or just using some comp nights? Some of us have been trying to figure out the details of what they are doing or what sort of play it took to get an invite to their party

I don't think they're having a VIP invite party. But they are having drawings for prizes immediately after the game. Correct me if I'm wrong.

coffee free if you gamble or not, my wife and I have 2 each /day so it saves more than a buffet that we don't want.
unlike free rooms and food tied directly to gambling. Yep drop $100 in other casinos and they still want $3 for the coffee.
so I would say a difference, nice to get something for just being there versus everything tied to a card.

Interesting. I'll have to send another email to my host. Never got an offer or anything. Also asked for my win/loss statement and not a peep.
