Best pools for partying? (Not pool-parties)

I'm trying to get a few friends rounded up for a trip to Vegas next spring. We're all from a cold state, so even a late spring trip will be like paradise. I want to figure out which of the cheaper hotels on the strip has the best pool for a bunch of 20-30 somethings to hang out and socialize, relax, and drink. I'm not looking for rocking day clubs with DJs, just a place where our group can chill and maybe meet some other tourists doing the same thing.

The catch is none of us makes much money, so we will most likely be also looking for the cheapest rooms on the cheapest full-service casinos on the strip.

Does that make sense?

 

Pools and hotels that I've been to on the Strip:

Flamingo - Cheaper rooms, pool is nice, fun atmosphere, drink service is pretty good.
TI - Cheap rooms, pools is ordinary, but a really fun atmosphere.
MGM Grand - Moderately priced rooms, variety of pools with different atmospheres.
Mirage - Moderately priced rooms, enjoyable pool area, drink service is pretty good.
Mandalay Bay - Moderately priced rooms, good variety of pools.

Then you get into the higher room cost hotels like Aria and Cosmo that have some nice pool areas.

 

Flamingo. It's exactly what you described. Cheap full service hotel on strip with a pool full of partying 20 somethings. You'll find your people there.

 

Tell him now. Resort fee covers pool entrance. What you can / cannot bring into area. Line up time to get in to flamingo pool. It may be important

I agree with the Flamingo recommendation. Its the cheapest Strip room you will find with a decent pool

 

Flamingo pool, Actually it is nice. Surprise yourself.

 

Did Flamingo in the summer of 2015 mainly for the pool and center strip location. It's not bad and the pool was nice. Had a good time there and brought home corona promo beach balls for my son. He still plays with them.

 

actuly now theres 2 flamingo and the linq hotel.and the linq might not bwe as crowded the flamingo can be swamped with no room

 

I'll recommend the Jockey Club ... 1 bedroom deluxe unit has 2x queen beds + sofa sleeper, full kitchen and living room and 1.5 bathrooms ... a 2bedroom unit will have 3x queen beds + sofa sleeper + rollaway if needed, 2 baths, living and kitchen. The common space is great for being able to pre-game in the room and not have to spend at the pool.
The JC pool is worthless, but you get access to the Cosmo Bamboo pool while staying at JC. Bamboo has plenty of free chairs and still is a good time, much more low key than Marquee. There isn't a casino on site either, but there is a elevator that goes directly to the Cosmo casino floor ... honestly might be able to get to their casino faster than someone actually staying at the Cosmo.

JC is so hart to beat because of the location, lack of resort fees, and price. We have a trip booked for the Super Bowl staying Fri-Tuesday ... the room total is $868 including tax for four nights. We have 6 people staying in the room so $144/per person for four nights. Having the full kitchen / living room is great as mentioned for having drinks while people get ready before you go out.

Its perfect for his/her group. Direct access to the Cosmo and its amenities, which also (in my opinion) has the highest amount of 20-30 somethings on the strip other than maybe PH... and its like 1/4 the price.

Other option I would suggest would be the Linq pool-side rooms.

 

Came to say what several others already beat me to....Flamingo completely fits the parameters you laid out in the first post.

One additional benefit that I didn't see mentioned is that CET is the most generous of the major Strip operators when it comes to free rooms. What this means is that, even with some very modest gambling, you could easily earn free rooms for your next trip. Make sure that everyone in your group signs up for a TR card and uses it whenever they play.

 

That is certainly thinking outside the box. Totally forgot that JC members have access to the bamboo pool. How much do rooms at the JC go for? I don't think I have checked in over a decade

I always book from the craigslist vacation rental posting from "The Las Vegas Tourist Bureau" ... our next trip is over Super Bowl weekend and pricing was:
2 bedroom (3x beds + pullout couch)- Fri/Sat = $267/nt (including tax) Sun/Mon = $167
1 bedroom deluxe (2x beds + pullout couch) - Fri/Sat = $198/nt Sun/Mon = $108

 

Flamingo.

 

Flamingo is probably the best budget option for hotel with pool.

Another option for a place to hang out is Top Golf. They have pools with bars and as long as you buy drinks there, you can hang out in their pools.
