    My Trip Report

The title is not entirely accurate. I actually stayed at V/P once years ago before I knew anything about comps and - gasp - actually paid for a room there for three nights - oh the horrors!

Anywho, fast forward several years and about a month ago I get in the mail an offer from V/P for $1500FP and a $500 Macy's GC.

I wasn't certain that I was going to take this offer yet bc I had a trip booked the weekend before at Harrahs Tahoe. That turned out to be a spectacularly great trip on a personal level, tho not so much gambling wise.

This is a pic of Emerald Bay @ Tahoe

So on the heels of that trip, I accepted the V/P offer as a small token of Sandy's appreciation for me dumping $8k there in a fit of monkey tilt in July at their BJ tables in about 20 mins.

I was originally also registered for Cosmo's $75k BJ tourney but bowed out today bc I didn't want the pressure of having to play for that comp. my host said that I didn't have to stay there, but she would appreciate some play.

What is in store is some minimal play (I know slow and steady has not been good to some of us lately) but with a lot of food porn! Also on the itinerary is a day trip to Red Rock Canyon (not the casino, you degenerates) for a hike and other activities, some of which are TBD at the moment.

    Hope to keep everyone entertained!

You always keep us entertained. I can't wait to follow along. I have to wait until April to go to Vegas, so trip reports always help me plan for new things to do.

VP conditions at V/P are pretty sucky, but it's a beautiful resort. Good luck and have a blast!

It was a short weekend trip with not much gambooool; not sure if there would've been much interest in that type of TR.

What trails are you doing to do at Red Rock?

Not sure at this point; depends on our time, but most definitely will do a drive around the scenic loop, for sure.

Yes, interesting drive. There's a nice little walk/hike near the highest point on the road. You can head up another couple of hundred feet to a good lookout. Not too strenuous.

    No more sleeps!

Got home after a quick court appearance in the morning and grabbed some lunch on the way home...

    Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Yum!

Now to pack for the weekend and head to the train to connect with the AirTrain that takes me to JFK for a 6pm flight.

The trip has started with a small hiccup. In-bound flight is delayed so we are delayed by an hour. Boooooo departure is now 7PM. Fack!

Delay of an hour and 20 mins which put a crimp on dinner plans but that's why we make backup reservations.

Dinner tonight is at Raku. Heard that the food is amazing; I can't wait. Food porn to follow in about 4 hrs. Lols

Eat eat eat @ Raku - an amazing Japanese restaurant. Highly recommended.

Turned $1500 fp into 2400 then down to $0 then down to -$2.2k for me. But the luck sack sitting next to me doubled her $500 buy in. Fun times were had by all.

After sleeping 3 winks and waking up at 5AM. Decided to go for a walk to ... wynncore

$2k buy in netting me $100 shy of $10k - this puts me in the black for the trip.
