YES!!! I was at Caesars AC last week too!!! I love the digitized displays. Easy to see your points and all! The casino was relatively empty that weekend but better for me since I had no problem getting what I wanted at Gordan's Pub. Anyway, going back to the display, it really offers a broad array of drinking options that I love. I was playing as a plat player and the premium booze was only $1 more...now I'm Diamond and can't wait to go back.

They do track your play before submitting your order, but if the JoB paytables at CET properties are 9/5 at the $1 level, you're making out okay. I accrued 3000 points this weekend with a measly $600 investment. My Roulette and slot play actually killed it for me. Lost $200 on a single hand of Roulette and $100 on the high limit slots.

On another note, You really need to shop around the VP games I find. Literally there's full pay and shitty pay on the same bank of machines at some of these properties. Another interesting thing, there was 9/5 VP at Harrahs that automatically told you what was the best hand to play and was a full points game at the $0.25 level

This is very true. We stay at Bally's repeatedly and play at Cosmo bars quite a bit, and at both places we have bartenders who know and remember us because we always make sure to take care of them. I'm hoping this new system won't be much of an issue for us because 1. We actually do play when we are sitting there, at a decent pace and 2. We take good care of the bartenders and have been taken good care of in return.

Gordon Ramsey Pub accepts reservations through open table, it's very convenient. We were invited by another couple to the Diamond Lounge at Caesars, it was around dinnertime. Wow, it was really nice, a small buffet and comp drinks. Plus, there are several tables that overlook the boardwalk and the ocean. Made me think about what it would take to make Diamond in a day. (5,000 tier credits in one day).

Wait till you see the Diamond lounges at Ballys and Ceasars A C.. Beautiful, huge ( you could fit 3 Vegas Diamond lounges, Ceasars, Paris and Rio, inside Ballys AC diamond lounge) plus full buffets and dessert sections!

heck. Go to Ballys Diamond lounge afterwards. Larger than Ceasars and almost on top of the ocean. Seating by the window is breathtaking!! This summer was the 1st time I had been to A C. in 2/3 years, right before Dem national convention in Philly! You wont have to spend any $$ on food while in A C. Heck the Ceasars lounge had steamed clams!!!

Are you above 25k Tier points? They charge you $10 in Rewards Credits to enter AC lounges if you aren't. CET has had issues with low diamonds virtually living there in AC since it's apparently that nice. Lol

I've never heard of auto hold turned on in AC. Usually it's only turned on in places with bullshit VP (e.g. NY racinos). Did these happen to be "pot of gold" machines. I've heard their advice is incorrect. Did you try to play these machines? Did the advice look correct?

They had 4 machines in Showboat before it closed not far from the HL slot room. I played it maybe about ten times. I played a few times without changing anything, I never won on those machines. The times that I changed the hold was on low inside low straights (no face cards), I would throw everything away. I found it boring, it felt like pushing a button on a slot and hoping for a jackpot.

I've seen it in AC. There was a bank of machines with a big sign 9/6 full pay autohold. Now, where it was.... That I can't remember. Could have been in Harrah's near the Total Rewards desk.

Wanted to add my experiences last week with the light systems at a few CET properties:
    • Flamingo X-bar: Terrible. First drink was "easy" to get, play a little, let the light come on. But on two separate sessions, I was never offered a 2nd drink...and I wasn't chatting with anyone. I noticed almost all players had green lights as I was sitting off to the side and could see the backs of at least half of the machines. I know mine was green too because I could see the reflection. I played over 30 minutes (and lost $100) without getting a second drink. Couldn't believe how few drinks the bartenders were pouring - I can't imagine how much their tips have gone down.
    • Flamingo Bugsy's Bar: Decent. Got the first one once I sat down. Slower than normal service as I'm used to getting a refill whenever I'm empty - whether that's 10 minutes or 30 mins.
    • TAG at Linq - Decent. Not as good as past trips as they seemed to be using the 20 minute rule but I did get several beers.
    • Gustav's at Paris - Decent. Again, "slower" service than I'm used to but didn't have any problems getting drinks. Talked to a bartender there and said tips were "way down" but didn't quantify that statement.
Several serious VP in our group (me included) think there is no way this lasts unless bartenders are going to accept much less in tips. In the meantime, I wonder if they are deliberately providing less service (especially at X-Bar at Flamingo) to get this reversed. Thank goodness there is always great service at the Linq back in the VP area because that became our go-to spot instead of VP bars.

Half of our stay was at Luxor and we played there, MB, and Monte Carlo and the difference was night and day different at VP bars. As someone whose primary gambling takes place here (so drinks and service are huge for me), I'm seriously considering not staying at CET properties with this current system (or maybe I'll stay, give minimal play, but play mostly at MGM props).

    Just one man's opinions, anyway.

V/P do this in Vegas, though not in all areas on the floor. I've always gotten drinks much much quicker than I would through flagging down a CW. The only downside is you're limited a bit by the preprogrammed drinks.

Thanks for the write up here.

That story about X-Bar is confusing. If people have green lights, then people will still be playing enough and they should be happy with those numbers. I'm not sure what the bartenders' thought process is. I'm pretty sure this crap is here to stay whether they like it or not.

Bummer to hear about TAG needing to wait 20 minutes. I guess means that I'll need to open with a Double IPA then! But as long as I don't have to ridiculously speed up my play and the paytables stay constant (looks like they weren't changed so far as I can tell. I'll deal.)

And I'm not shocked you got better service at MLife properties that didn't have any system. But give it a year, and I'm afraid they will all have it in one form or another.
