Go!! New years is a blast out there! I've been a few times. If you can get into one of the big casino parties, even better. If not, there are fireworks on the strip from all the hotels. Really neat experience.

It's a two-year party!!! (Albeit the very end of one, and the very start of another!) :D

    Wish I could be there!

It's awesome. At 6PM on the 31st they shut down Las Vegas blvd to car traffic and it just becomes one big block party where everyone just walks around. I went to Marquee last year for Fetty Wap where there were heavily passed hors d’oeuvres from 9-midnight and premium open bar from 9-11pm. Most hotels will have some sort of similarly arranged event. Fireworks are launched by MGM, Aria, Planet Hollywood, Caesars, Treasure Island, Venetian and Stratosphere . It's a great experience :)

You have to go at least once and be ready for crowds, and more crowds.

If your play is good enough, you will still get a comped room. Or, you might get invited to a hotel party. The year we did it, Paris had an awesome affair in their ballroom. We left at 11:30 and got out winter jackets and headed for the middle of the street. Never seen so many drunks in my life. It was great being out there with the party and fireworks.

When you say you have multiple offers for NYE, are you just talking about offer dates that happen to cover that time, or have you tried to actually book for those dates?

I am a mlife platinum member and as for "Corp" offers when I looked it showed Mirgae, NYNY, Luxor, MGM, Monte Carlo, Mandlay Bay etc... mostly 3 nights some 2 nights as well. I played 3 times in Vegas in July august and September And I believe I put some solid (?) bacarat hours in...all those dates I had suites, food comped etc (I really should do trip report) so I don think I will have hard time getting rooms comp for NYE matter fact, all hotels under reservation dates are showing as "comped" some I called and verified... I'm just not sure if I want to go... wife can not go due to her work.... so I may go w friends but man I m gonna feel like shit if I went without my wife (?) lol

Aria's NYE gala is completely over the top! I would go in a heartbeat. I got invited to Venetian/Palazzos private party and Caesars but they are not nearly as good as Aria's. If you can get in to their gala, being a platinum MLife player, do it! Look at SDguy1234's NYE casino real ness at Aria last year to get an idea of what it's like on YouTube. I think it was Alice in Wonderland themed but the drinks and food were top notch as well as performances, hookah bars, cotton candy and lollipop towers.....;)

If you get a chance to do hotel party, it is great. BUT - if wife is not going, it could be a downer. Stick to the strip party would be great - but less chance of telling wife about the great dinner, and beautiful layout and decorations, etc. When you say wife can not go, I assume you mean not even for just a day or two even if you were their longer.

It is the best party on the Strip.
Been there four times but missed last year.Host told me it was about $2 million the year before.
NYE is my favorite weekend because of the party but................MLife Platinum does not even come close to qualifying for the party.
I did not get the invitation last year and my host kind of shrugged and said "sorry, you must not have lost enough this year"
He said, and I still doubt that it is true, that they were looking for a $20K theo per trip to qualify for the party.
    Crazy high!!
Anyway it is worth doing one time.Every bar in town has a pay to play party.
The Strip becomes a logjam of people like Times Square in NYC
Just stay at the hotel you party at because you will not be able to get around town after 6pm

Tons of my friends who are platinum get invited every year to Aria. $20K theo is not much at all for a trip. I just don't have an MLife card. I'm a Venetian/Palazzo and Cosmo player.

You do NOT get invited because you are Plat. You get invited based on play. Some lower levels with get invites - due to their play.

Like everything else, tier does not count. Play counts.

(yea, sometimes they are one and the same - but play trumps tier)

I didn't mean you had to be platinum to get invited and don't remember saying everyone who is gets one. I was saying lots of people who are platinum do. Others have got the invite at lower tiers and some didn't get them in the higher tiers. I was saying if you get invited you should go as it's the best party on the strip.

Last year I think they had a Bruno Mars concert. Most major hotels have something.
CET consolidates their part for Paris and Ballys at Paris.
Caesars has their own event .
Have not played at VP in years but I'm sure they do also.

Yeah I don't think they had a dinner though.

I went to the NYE dinner at PH last year. The food was great but it was an interesting experience--being one of the youngest attendees there among mostly 40+ year olds.

$20k theo is quite a bit. That would be like $250-300k coin in for a slot player.

My mistake, I was thinking coin in not theo. But half the people I know who go yearly don't come anywhere close to that much on slots per trip if that's accurate. ( what Aria wants per trip) so I'm wondering how invitations are generated? Maybe host offer them to those who express interest first and maybe computer generation on others? No idea, I just think it's a party I would not miss if I was invited. Lol

    It's a lot!
I was invited every year up to last year with an average theo per trip of over 10K.
This year it was higher so we will see.
I'm thinking of a host change

Yeah there's NO WAY people hit $20k theo per trip, a lot... that would be hitting Platinum PER TRIP...so those people would\should be Noir...
