Bad news for poker players out there.

All Mlife poker rooms changes their comp structure where all comps from a year ago expire.

So if today is July 27th 2016, all comps prior to July 27th 2015 expire. So as each day moves along, the previous year comps expire as well. So basically we got screwed from Mlife with comps. No warnings, notices, etc. Even the poker room managers didn't know as well..

Very cool! what color was it? I have a 1987 hardtop and a super rare 1992 Teal C-spec, both turbo 5 speed cars

If you are in Vegas Sept 22 - Sept 24, you should swing by Excalibur parking area (or LVMS on Saturday). There is a huge Supra show that weekend, Supras In(vade) Vegas (SIV). The host hotel is Excal but we will be out at LVMS on Saturday for the car show, drag racing, and drift exhibition.

Mine was red but I had a paint job done.

Thats funny you say Supras Invade Las Vegas because I used to go to that around early 2000's. Like 2002 or so. I think I still have pictures some where.

We used to caravan together from Los Angeles, Fun times.

I'm not exactly sure what you are saying. If I've built up $90 worth of comps over the past 5 years, are some of them gone? I was last there in March.

All of them are gone up to 365 days ago.

So all comps expire no matter what up to last years rolling date. So if today is July 28th 2016 then all comps till July 28th 2015 are still valid. But if you earned them July 27th 2015 then they are now expired. So when tomorrow comes July 29th 2016 then all comps til July 29th 2016 are still valid.

That sucks. No warning, no information, just changed the policy. Even poker room managers didn't know

My friend went to Aria recently to get his comps back and they gave them to him. That's his experience.
He tried at Bellagio and the other MGM properties but they didn't give them back. So dumb with no warning.

My comps (approx $70) were wiped out, but the host there gave me a $50 restaurant comp to make up for it.

It hurts those who go there a few times a year and want their comps to build up.

Complain all you like. There's no one who cares to hear you. MGM cares only about the bottom line. One would think that the bottom line included, to a great degree, satisfying the customer. That must be wrong. In the past few years MGM has added a huge "resort fee", charge for parking, raise in basic rates, cut down amenities everywhere. Talk about petty, no more hair spray @ Bellagio etc, noticeable cut in staff for a negative effect on service. Loss of comps and much more. I guess this procedure is helping their bottom line; though I can't imagine how. It's no wonder they are in bankruptcy. Wall St. likes it that way. A large part of MGM expenses are for interest

I have tried to get away from the Bellagio but they have a comfortable poker room for me. I've written to many off strip poker rooms looking for someplace else to play and have my gold card comps met. Nary an answer. Only the very best business people work in Vegas casinos.

The title talked about poker room comps. Since I spend so little time in Poker Rooms I am not clear about any special comps there other than are almost non existent for life poker.

Express Comps across Mlife expire if no visit over a year.

    From Mlife Page:
A member's accumulated points and Express Comps may be subject to forfeiture if the member's M life Rewards account does not reflect any activity (which means earning points or earning Tier Credits) for a period of six (6) months for Sapphire Members or a period of twelve (12) months for Pearl, Gold, Platinum and NOIR Members.

Was just there NFL conference championship weekend. Aria (never played at another MLife prop) will do a credit one time for the balance you had, but even that will expire a year from generating. My buddy and I ate through my balance in a day.

Nostress, I think this was a move to bring the poker room in to alignment with the rest of the comp program. The manager was very apologetic and even seemed a little upset about it all.

I used to love staying at MGM and played mostly in their old poker room. Service went down, comps dried up, and resort fees… I no longer go there, even to eat at places I like.

Interesting aside: My niece who at worked MGM a few years ago (I have an actual niece who lives in Las Vegas!) said that management requested employees to ask friends and relatives to come and stay. No incentives were offered for either the employee or their family/friends.

Sneaky move by that poker room. All poker player would be in a big surprise to know the big change they made. This is why many of the poker players get frustrated when they know they changes made.
