We're not big spenders when it comes to food. We're halfway through and my bill after comps is only $220. And we're doing downtown Nassau tonight for dinner.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Update: Today my casino host leaves a message with my room and on my cell
phone telling me to call him. I go to the casino and speak with him, he asks me if I've been remembering to use my card when I play and if there's a problem as to why I haven't played. I tell him I've been busy with activities all day and night and he basically says no problem but with some disappointment and concern in his voice.

So I redeemed my $250 free slot play on VP and then put in another $300 that I lost and called it a night. We check out in the morning so I'm not worried about seeing my host anymore.

Last night we hopped in a cab and asked to go to the famous Fish Fry. The cabbie recommended another place that's closer (Fish Fry almost 5 miles) called The Poop Deck which is just across the bridge from Atlantis. We choose the Poop Deck and it was good food, good prices and a good view. (2nd picture)

The top picture is lunch yesterday at Olives near the casino. That was our only meal at Atlantis yesterday (we don't eat breakfast) so we used up the entire $100 credit on 3 entrees.

The last picture is the water. The 2 free bottles a day are small and my gf uses for coffee. The Fiji on the left are part of the mini bar at $11 each and the big Dasani was $8.50 by the pool.

We really enjoyed our last full day here. Did a few hours water park, followed by a shallow water dolphin interaction and then a few hours at the adults only Cain pool. Dinner was at the main buffet, Posideon, in the Royal tower. 2 adults with mandatory fees came to $127. It was not worth it at all. It was low quality food and a crowded, noisy experience with kids everywhere. Mosaic buffet ($144 for 2) in the Cove tower is so much higher quality. Better quality than Aria or Bellagio but with slightly less selection.

The low play may hurt your future offers from them, but good for you for sticking to your guns and enjoying your vacation!

So true about Mosaic, really nice atmosphere, food not bad, much better than Posideon. Wish they would add Mosaic to the dining plan if you stay at Royal, but I guess that's only a dream!!

Thanks again we are enjoying your TR. You are doing exactly what we would be doing on this type of an offer. I would be more likely to play if the points there counted towards our CET tier credit tally. We are thinking that a trip to Atlantis would probably be a one time trip for us unless when we get there we are just totally blown away by the place. While the facilities seem nice the prices of the food seems outrageous.

Looking forward to hearing from you when you get your final bill. I have heard from others that there were charges that had to be contested and since you did not play much at the casino it will be interesting to see if they try to take away any of the freebies that come with the 7 star package. A lot of the taxes, gratuities, and other stuff are supposed to be waived. Good luck and I hope they stick to their agreement.

Here's a pic from the shallow water dolphin interaction yesterday. It was free with the casino experience pass. Normally it's $171 and if you want the pictures it's $120(CD)or $160(USB). I didn't buy the pics.

Check out this morning was fine. Although they did have to remove two charges from two restaurants where we used the casino experience pass to get free drinks. Those charges should have automatically been taken off but they weren't. All other promised comps were honored and my final bill at check out was $270. Not bad at all.

I just didn't feel like gambling this trip and felt I didn't have to. The offer was a gift and not an offer with an expectation of play. I had a great time here but doubt I will return within five years so I'm not worried about receiving any offers. Atlantis is just too far away and there are to many other destinations in my future plans.

Was the casino experience pass included with your 7* benefits at Atlantis?

$83.77/day. I broke it down in an earlier post, from what we paid.. The gratuity is more at The Cove than the Royal Tower.

    So did you really not
If the offer was a "gift" does 7 star also give you trips to places without a casino? We got offers for Vegas from Atlantis and vice versa, so they obviously share info between the casinos. I am just wondering if they share the amounts of play on these trips and if low-playing a property with such a high value trip could hurt a rating with the program that offered the trip.

CET has only offered me trips to places with casinos. I've been offered private flights with my host to watch NFL games but only in cities that have a Harrah's. Atlantis and CET do not share ratings info...only name, address and rating level type info. Sharing ratings info could possibly be illegal under the privacy act, I'm not sure.

I believe the expectation of the comp is that the person will play at the same level that got the comp in the first place. It is not a "gift" in the true sense. If it was, Atlantis would continue to give these to everyone regardless of play. Unfortunately, if everyone used the comp as a gift and no-played, Atlantis would quickly end the program.

It is the same way with your annual 7 star NCL cruise. It is a benefit of 7 star status and we have been the past several years and not played at the casino. I still get to go on the cruises.

If the cruise is a benefit of 7 star, is the cruise AND the Atlantis trips both listed as benefits for 7 star?

The NCL cruise is a 7 star benefit whereas the Atlantis trip per Total Rewards website is a special promotion and must be booked by Jan 31st and taken by Feb 28th of 2017. They are essentially both 7 star benefits because unless you are 7 star card level the benefits of the trip are not nearly as good. When they roll out the new 7 star benefit package next year the cruise and/or the Atlantis promotion may or may not be included but the 7 star NCL cruise has been around for a long time.

Enjoyed your report. We are only platinum, but we've been to the Bahamas many times. Poop Deck is always on the "must" list. We usually stay on Cable Beach and make it to Atlantis a couple times over the course of a week. We are always surprised/disturbed by the number of kids in the casino there. Glad you had such a great adventure.

Thanks for the awesome review and pics! I just booked a trip for after New Years. Will fly in with my two kids ages 9 & 10 on NYE and stay somewhere else (still looking if anyone has suggestions). Then will go to he Atlantis on 1/3 as the offer is blocked over holidays.

My question - what exactly was in the experience pass? I gather the dolphin encounter (free for 1 or 2??) and free drinks at some restaurants (any food purchase requirement??)... Anything else useful with the experience pass?

Thanks again for all the info you've already provided!!

As an aspirations level player, they still have you pay the $49.95 resort fee? I thought that was comped and only the taxes and maid gratuity were going to be due? Or did you go on a different offer not through TR? Seems like the actually cost would be ~$33/day?? Please correct me if I'm wrong though...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

ETA... I just talked to someone at the Atlantis and for diamond aspirations level 2 players, four 4 nights the room tax and gratuity will add to $89.88 total for royal towers (add $4 for the cove total). Great deal!
