    Hi-
Not sure if Im posting this in the right section-please move if necessary. I know Vegas is not cheap, but are there any reasonable tattoo parlors on the strip or near Fremont st. downown? Lost my Mom and Brother over the winter-might get my first tattoo with them in mind -I read reviews of one near Bally's, I think, it seemed expensive. I know it's Vegas, as I said, but hoping to avoid paying anything outrageous

I got a tattoo at Club Tattoo in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, artist Ben. I was very happy.

    Moving this to Miscellaneous.

Ahhhh isnt he the greatest!!!! He has done 4 large pieces for my husband and is our go to guy! We seriously book our trips around when he is working! Love Club Tattoo!
To the OP, what size are you looking to get? Good tattoos (especially if it is a memorial) are worth the extra $$! better places in Vegas would be Club Tattoo, Revolt, and Trip Ink.

Depends on the size and how truely good the artist is. Just like everything else, the better the artist, the more it costs.

like a keep it simple old school simple name or symbol, done by a very competent artist.

I had a med/lg cover up from an old tattoo on my upper left arm by a good artist for $650 in DC. It would be less for what you are looking to do.

Just keep in mind, this cover up was done back in 2004 and tattooing has changed greatly.

Also make sure to try and look at reviews about your artist and shop.

To the op: Any particular reason you would get one in Vegas over getting one at home in Cleveland?

I have 4 (none done in Vegas), I would think you would pay more to get one at one of the joints on the strip.

I wouldn't recommend just walking in and getting a tattoo. Find an artist and work with them before your trip. Send them a photo or description of what you want; they'll do a sketch and go from there. A tattoo is permanent; it should be very personal to you.

Oh come on......it is without a lot of expense to cover it or laser it.....best to not make a spur of the minute decision that is "permanent".

Just google "bad tattoos". The quality is all over the place. As said above I would never just randomly pick a place to get one. I've had my 4 done by 3 different guys and each of them had done work on people I know. Here's one of my favorites
