To get 5000 TC's (and the 10000 bonus points) you would need to run $50,000 thru the machine.
Based on that, the average cost to achieve Diamond in a day would be $995.
Keep in mind that the number would likely be higher if you don't hit a Royal flush and much lower if you do.


If you can find the 8/5 Bonus poker (that still awards 1 TC per $10) I believe the payback is 99.1%
Based on that, the average cost to achieve Diamond in a day would be $450

Keep in mind The odds of you actually being right on the average are very low.. you will either be higher or lower depending on your luck

While playing $1 VP, don't undersetimate how fast the hundys can disappear. I generally play DDB and TB+, which are more volatile than the BP discussed here, but when luck isn't on my side loosing $500-$800 per hour is very possible. A hundy every few minutes. If the quads come "on schedule" or they come frequently - you can do very well.

 

For the average person? Probably about $2500 since most people play slots.

But it's obviously dependent on the game you choose to play.

 

I want to find a hundred line JorB machine, but curious if there are many of those in Vegas or not. You can get VERY lucky on those machines...or unlucky. But, if you hit a two pair on your opening hand, then you're golden!!!!

For me, it's way more!!! Roulette murders me...I need to pick lower volatility games I guess. And slots are even worse.

 

Every CET property in Vegas has 100 play machines, I'm guessing most all properties do.

CET paytables are pretty shitty, no surprise there....Cosmo has full pay 100 play machines according to vpfree.

 

I can find 8/5 Bonus Poker, for $1 denomination, in a lot of CET casinos throughout the country...and they award 1 TC per $10 coin-in.

 

reading this thread and all other threads... i think I am going to venture into the VP world on my next trip. It sounds fun and a good way to kill time. (is that correct? on my understanding?)

I usually play the floor games anywhere from baccarat, blackjack, roulette, pai gow, texas hold'em, 3CP, Crazy 4. it sounds like from the reading above I can still get decent credits/point for roughly $200/hour at vp if things go bad.

It's a great way to kill some time, especially if you like to drink, watch sports and collect comps. Keep in mind that while most video poker has low variance compared to most other games, you will occasionally have bad runs of 90% payback, even on the really good machines. I've lost a grand in a night playing full pay quarters. I'm a pretty fast player though.

 

Yeah I lost $100 on a 99.5% jacks quater machine in about an hour. Which is about as low as variance it gets inns vp. So yeah can be but bad runs happen.

 

Just came back from an AC trip. 0 Tier credits before the trip, left with 83, now it's at 197. I'm guessing the points from tables came in? I was playing nickels on the inside and for some reason I think my point yields were stronger on the table games (which I didn't play for more than 2 hours total while there). Meanwhile, I only yielded 83 points playing VP about 2 hours. Does anyone have anything concrete on yields on the table games?

Going to try DIAD or DIAD2, considering the 10 play DSPT JoB at PHo but perhaps the 50 play STP BP at Bally's. I know that the JoB has a better return albeit over longterm, which would you chose? FYI: I would play 11-12 lines at STP BP to have the about the same coin-in as the DSTP machine. Anyone know if the DSTP has other OK paytables for different games too?

 

I am not a V/P player and from what I understand the casinos don't go overboard on comps for V/P play. But as one splitting between slots and the craps table getting Diamond in a day is much better so far as getting attention from hosts and getting good offers from the casino. For a few years I split it up over 2 or 3 days and I got good offers after I started doing it in a day I get regular calls from hosts and my offers got a lot better even though my total spending in the casino has probably been less.

 

Obviously Diad would only happen if at 2500 it is still going OK, otherwise DIAD2 would be better psychologically

 

Even though STP/DSTP increase the payback of a given pay tables, I would skip them if you are shooting for a set number of TCs. Much more volatile that regular VP. Unless you are consistently connecting on your multipliers, you have a much higher chance of going bust quickly.

For DIAD/2D, you will need 50k coin in on VP. What is your starting bankroll? If it's high enough, then maybe STP/DSTP is a good option due to the increased payback.
