I'm considering a stay at Buffalo Bills on a Saturday during my drive up from Cali, followed by a 2-night stay Downtown.

Is anyone familiar with the current state of Buffalo Bill's? Rooms don't have to be palaces...basic and clean with zero bedbugs is just fine.

As for the casino, primarily I'm looking for:

    - $5 pai gow
    - Bubble craps
    - JOB or DB video poker with decent paytables
    - $0.25 bartop video blackjack with DD & split...surrender and insurance would be a nice bonus

If any of these are available across the street at Whiskey Petes, I wouldn't have a problem with taking the monorail over there for a visit.

The last time I was there in 2014, none of the 3 casinos - Buffalo Bills, Primm Valley or Whiskey Pete had bubble craps. They all had $5 min. craps tables that were almost full.

A friend and I stayed Mon-Fri at Whiskey Pete's, for my 22nd birthday (was my friends' 21st, I didn't have any other friends who were 21 until then).
We enjoyed it for what it was..but truthfully, we woke up, drove into Vegas, then drove back out there at night.
If I had to do it again, I'd rather just stay off strip (Orleans, GoldCoast, Sams Town, etc) for the same price, and actually BEING in town.

Interesting!! I'm staying in Vegas,at the Linq, for March Madness but I saw that Bills was hosting the Commodores (one of my favorite groups of all times) on Saturday 3/19. Thinking about contacting a host for a night of good music and chilling out afterwards. I've been told its 30-45 mins from the strip?? Sound about right???

Whatever you do, do NOT ride that roller coaster at Whiskey Petes... Rode that thing 3 or 4 years ago and I swear I have neck and back problems still to this day.

Wife and I ended up staying there overnight as we both got too slammed to drive the rental back to Vegas. Rooms were decent, clean and comfy.

Haha, my cousin and I rode it when we were 16...and YES, it DEFINITELY hurts ya (it's an old type with only a knee-bar to hold you in)

Over the years I have stayed at all 3 properties and rooms at BB are small and instead of bars of soap there is a dispenser bolted to the shower wall. The furniture in the rooms is the same as the Plaza downtown as they also bought them from the bankrupt Fontainebleau. Primm has the largest rooms of the 3 properties.

Primm is walking distance from Buffalo Bills. Whiskey Pete's is probably a good 20 min walk. There is a monorail and free shuttle to all the casinos. I personal would not stay there. The rooms are really worn and dirty. Check the reviews on Yelp or Trip Advisor. I would drive the extra 30 minutes into Vegas.

40-45 minutes is a more reasonable estimate, unless you drive 90+ mph.

I have stayed at all three properties many times over the last several years. I believe Primm has fairly new owners. The last time I stayed at WP I was in an old room. I would never stay at WP again. BB is alright but I like Primm best. Primm always has a craps table open. BB only has craps on weekends, but I am not sure of the hours. As a craps player, I have never heard of bubble craps before.

Only good VP I've seen is at Primm, only if the Progressive is high on the DDB machines.
