So right now I'm watching rush hour 2 and it's set in Vegas.

Is it just me or you guys also have a soft spot for movies set in Vegas?

    Can't wait to be there....

It's got to be a Vegasy movie. Vegas Vacation or the first Hangover movie are great. Leaving Las Vegas is a buzzkill.

Yes, I always watch the first hangover movie on the flight to Vegas. That and oceans 11 are two movies I never get tired of re-watching.

Last Vegas is pretty good and it has an all star cast of Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Kline.

The Hangover 3 also has a nice 45-50 minute feature from Vegas with lots of beauty shots of The Strip.

I'm like the others....I absolutely watch movies that have Vegas featured in them. Just so sit back and watch and say "Yup, I was there and yup, I saw that, stood there" etc is really cool.

Anybody else get suckered into a movie that looks like it's going to have Vegas in it? I watched that movie Sour Grapes because it had a picture of The Plaza on the front. The movie was set in AC, but I believe filmed on a studio lot. :grrr:

Just seeing the Las Vegas strip in a movie poster gets me feeling all tingly hahaha just yesterday I saw a poster with Vegas in the background of it and I went from not being interested at all to wanting to see the movie. With that said, I can no longer remember what movie it was hahaha

I work for a Canadian sports television station and in our computer system we have Las Vegas scenic rolls for when our guys talk about NHL and NFL expansion plus any awards shows that take place there. I'm definitely guilty of sometimes just watching them to put a smile on my face. They are also super outdated so it's nice to see things like BIlls Gambling Hall and the old O'Sheas

I love watching Vegas movies to see what's wrong with them. There is always a scene or two that just isn't right.

First time I watched "Last Vegas", I was with several other people & when Michael Douglas & Mary Steenburgen sit down on a park bench in the middle of FSE, I loudly proclaimed "BS - there are no benches there!"

The Cooler. Set in Las Vegas but filmed at a closed casino in Reno (the Flamingo Hilton which later re-opened - then closed - as the Golden Phoenix).

We were at Planet Hollywood when they were filming this movie. I keep telling my wife we need to watch it again to see if we are in any of the shots in the background.

There was a Nicholas Cage flick, "Next", where he is being chased through a casino downtown. When he leaves the casino, it is one of the hotels on the Strip.

In Vegas Vacation, Rusty only put one quarter into a 3 coin machine, and wins the car.

There's also the scene when they jump out of the cab in front of the Mirage and are supposed to be walking to Aria but are walking in the wrong direction.
