In the past I've received mailer's for comped rooms from the Plaza. At first two nights, then two nights with a certain amount of daily play and I've taken advantage of the offers when they've come. I recently contacted a host from "My Royal Rewards" web page for my yearly March Madness trip and was told my play doesn't qualify for any perks and since then it no longer accepts my password to into the royal rewards page (I wasn't rude, all I did was click on the "contact a host" button). I'll admit during my visits my VP coin-in won't drastically improve their earnings but I figured two nights with the play was fair and even without that requirement most of my play was at the Plaza (and Vegas Club when they still had it), but disabling my account on the web page was cold.

Anyone else having this problem with the Plaza?

I've found the staff at the plaza to be warm, comps are cold as ice, they want strip play for hidden at end of Fremont dump, I'd rather el cortez on all fronts except staff

Dont give your business where you're not wanted, plenty of fish in the downtown sea.

Yep. Either you most recent play dropped off their radar, or they raised the bar on comps for your level. Just the way it is.

I find I suddenly am getting way better comps for March over February. A suite for 3 nights, 75 a day fp and a food credit. I can't remember the amount of the last one, but I think it is $75.

My Dec/Jan/Feb offer was 3 nights regular room and 25 a day fp. Last time I was there it was in July and I haven't played since. Not sure of the reason for the bump up.

That said, they still wouldn't comp me that super bowl party they are having next weekend. So I will be attending one elsewhere and giving someone else my play for the night.

I doubt disabling your password was intentional. More than likely just a web site glitch. I would call or email the help desk to get it fixed. And it that doesn't work call Dr. Yolla

Our offers have dried up also. We average about $8000 per day on video poker. I talked to Jim, the host who has been there a long time. He said, as long as we are playing the better games, about $17 in food comps, over three days total was all I could expect.
Playing the same games, the same amount of money run through, Four Queens gives us either $200 or $300 of free play, and more food comps than we can use, as long as we don't visit Hugo's often.

I stayed there on a "match" offer on our last trip. Curt booked it for me and was very nice. When I stopped in the office to have the free play added, Jim was so rude that I decided to play the free play and move back to my normal spots. You would think the host would look at a $200 free play offer from a competitor and see an opportunity rather than an annoyance. I was in a good mood and wanted to build a relationship so I know the fault was not mine.

Plaza cut my offers as well. I went to the Cal and they give us free rooms and some food. Fremont does the same. Plaza should stay loyal to its base customers or they will be right back to where they were before all the changes. I get better offers on the strip from Harrah's casinos with less play. Hard to understand.

    Wow.

Previous posts here on the "new and improved" Plaza were a lot more positive...part of the reason I booked 2 of my nights there for May.

I usually play where I stay, so I'm hoping this is not the new "norm".

I feel they used the recent comps after they made changes to get people to try the place, but when people showed some loyalty, they figured they could back off the comps. I stayed there last year with 2 nights comped and 1 night at casino rate based on an email offer from some Very small play on a few hours roaming DT. On my trip to the Plaza I averaged $5-6k/day on quarter VP. I played some light tables as well. After that one trip, not another single comp night offered. MSS will comp week nights for that play as will the M when I add in some $25 pai gow or BJ. Seems like they are once again not looking at the big picture of where they are located, what their rooms are like, and what their main competition is. Vote with your $$$ and play where you get the most value for it!

That is SO SAD about Jim. I actually posted the below in a review on the Plaza over the summer. Same thing with us. Curt got us in the house and this guy Jim ran us off! We did the offer match thing and this was our story...

... I took my brother along who was actually Diamond with CET and a decent player himself. He remembers seeing some email before on this promo and since he was booked at the Venetian this trip he just so happened to have his offer in hand. I grab my card and the person at the players club desk tells the kid he has to see a host about getting his "Free Play Match" loaded. And that's where the trip took a turn for the worse.

There were 2 people in the host lounge. Some guy named Jim looked up at the kid when he walked in and just said "Yeah?" The kid explained that the desk told him to come in with his offer and someone would match it. Jim says "Did you get the mailer from us" and the kid says "I think I got an email but my brother got his Free Play matched before he got here" Jim: "You need to have the mailer, I cant help you without the mailer. I don't care what your brother got, if another host isn't following the rules that's not my problem. I get yelled at if I don't follow the rules. But I guess the other guys here can do whatever the fuck they want" The kid looked at the other host and was just going to walk out when they said "Just give me your ID". He handed it over to them and they pulled him up in the system and said someone named Oscar was his host and that this Oscar was going to be in trouble for just having someone show up randomly. We have no clue who Oscar is. We both had the same host but he moved to the Stratosphere . I was lucky and got Curt. My brother got Oscar who he doesn't know. I hope Oscar isn't in trouble. But by the way this guy Jim was talking it seemed like he wanted to get him in trouble.

But they confirmed that he was eligible as a returning player to get the match. But he had to stand there and listen to this tirade from Jim for a good 10 minutes before he agreed it was to be loaded on his card. So it probably took 25 minutes in all before he could go gamble.

So it was a big ordeal. The kid was embarrassed that they talked down to him and even though he got his $100 in free play he didn't want to stick around. This Jim guy laid into him pretty rough and he didn't even want to play there with me after that. I only gambled through $500 of coin before he walked out of the hosts office and just said lets go. So we left.

He is no longer a host. He is a marketing manager for a company that sells used slots and video poker machines while he finishes up college.

Have you tried the Golden Gate or the D? They had been very good to me in 2014. the D was my "go to" property in 2014. Ate many a comped meal at Andiamo's.

Notice I was passed off on getting a reply?.Must have been blacksleep for mentioning the previous casino host there?.I've tried to communicate by sending emails and site PMs and don't get any replies back from the current host?

Wife and I have even tried to meet up with the new host, but each time we were there last year the host was either not there,or she was but made us wait at the desk and never appeared at the desk.

When previous host 'Curt' was the casino host,I could call him and he meet up with my wife and I while we were in line at the hotel registration desk.He made time to meet up with the casino members as soon as they arrived in town.Even when he was in the office.

What a diiference a change and time does
