Going to Vegas in April and looking at getting the "Whiskey Tasting " award at the Monte Carlo. Does it include single malt scotch or only mixed drinks and beer? Thanks for all reply's.

Thanks and win big just ONETIME..........

My wife got this for me last year. It was great and they have several types of whiskeys, some are single malt. They bring you a list and you can pick 3. I thought they were just shots, but it is regular drinks. Needles to say after 3 drinks within 20 minutes I was feeling good.

    Have a great time.

We did this reward when they did 4 drinks. I wish we would have taken a picture of the "menu" but I remember they had each broken down into categories and you could select any 4 you wanted. The bartender suggested to get 4 from the same type as they would pair better.

Best I can do is show the pic of the 4 we all chose.

Shock. You are correct it was 4 drinks. I think I only wanted 3. It was about 8 months ago so it's hard to remember. Getting old, I guess.

I have done it twice and will do it again this coming trip. Best reward these days. I've also had the same bartender each time, who is a great guy to hang out with.

I know nothing about whiskey, but the bartender was very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions we had. Hopefully you get him or one that is as knowledgeable

Enjoy! The bar is great and the bartender was great. I did the single malt and the bartender was very helpful.

I did this a couple years ago. ..i didn't think to take a photo, but at that time, all the options were ones that I'd tried in the past and were quite common (with the exception of the made-specially-for-monte-carlo one). The American flight was that monte carlo one, regular maker's, jack (possibly gentleman's jack ), and something else. If you think in terms of "what common bottle could i buy at the store for about the price of maker's? " you're on the right track. That being said, free whisky is free whisky! I very much enjoyed it. Threw the guy a 5 or 10 dollar tip and very much enjoyed the 30 minutes or so i spent relaxing at the bar.

I know nothing about whiskey but let the bartender pick- I loved the Oban 14 and the Templteon Rye was my 2nd fav, I also had Bulliet Bourbon which I expected to like more than I did but it wasn't bad, and I had single barrel JD which was my least favorite of the group
