Total Rewards have just emailed me and have given me a total of 16,900 Tier Credits, 10,000 from last years Aspiration levels and 6,900 from the promotion they ran at the end of the year.

That should make it nice and easy to hit 7 stars this year, Diamond status already without even spending a cent in any of their casinos!

    YOUR TIER CREDITS ARE IN!

You earned them, and now they are yours! A total of 16,900 Tier Credits have now been added to your 2016 Tier Score:

    • 10,000 Tier Credits earned from 2015 Aspirations
    • 6,900 Tier Credits earned from our Play and Get Tier Credit Bonus Offer

We hope you enjoy this jump start as much as we enjoy giving it to you. See you soon!

I can top this! I made Diamond in 2014 after switching over from MGM. So all of 2015 I was Diamond and that should have expired March 2016. I switched back to MGM in Feb 2015 after CET filed for bankruptcy and everyone had their free play cut in half. So outside of 2 days at Caesars Place in January 2015 and a total of 4 days at Caesars in Atlantic City I only earned like 6,000 Tier Credits and I would just be Platinum starting in April 2016.

BUT CET switched the calendar year on status. Its now Jan-Dec. So I logged into my account on Friday expecting to see Diamond until 3/2016 and instead see an expiration of January 1 2017! So my account was stuck in their conversion matrix. On a hunch i went to my local CET joint the Horseshoe in Hammond IN and I ask for a new card. They print one out and sure as shit it says Diamond 1/2017!

When I go online now to check the expiration just says " ...loading expiration..." but it never does. So I might very well be coded again as Platinum internally. But I got 3 copies of my card saying I'm Diamond. So i can get matched to Borgata Black Label again for 2016. Plus I can still use that CET Diamond card to match in vegas as well. And if I'm really lucky CET wont even figure it out and I'll still be coded as Diamond for free. I pulled the 3 copies in case I try to go to the Diamond Lounge and they take it from me (which I would argue the 2017 printed on it).

    Anyone else see this?

The printed date means nothing except (maybe) at the valet, who can't swipe it to check it. If your status doesn't match the computer (as I recall, your card is swiped at every Diamond Lounge), they will take it from you.

just curious, where can you card match in Vegas? I know the Plaza does, but is there anywhere else?

Don't kid yourself, CET doesn't make these kind of mistakes and there are NO Upper End properties on the strip that match tier levels.

It certainly means something when you card match or skip lines for the buffet, valet, hotel checkin, restaurants ETC all of which have looked at my card and not swiped it unless I was using my RC's. And I already said I pulled 3 cards with the 2017 date on it fully expecting a copy to get pulled IF I'm no longer coded as Diamond. Leaving me 2 copies to continue the ruse! And thats just assuming that I would be coded as Platinum and they dont just leave it alone as Diamond which very well might happen

I used it at the Plaza to become Ace. But I mostly use it in Atlantic City for the Borgata to make me Black Label.

How am I kidding myself? I did not earn enough points in 2015 to be Diamond past March 2016 and yet I am holding a Diamond card that says its good to 1/2017. Unless they gifted me 10,000 TC's at the end of Dec without telling me via email, letter or posting that in my account. I just went through my entire TR statement for 2015. So OBVIOUSLY CET did make this kind of mistake. I explained the reason why I think it happened. And if you dont like that I dont know what to tell you. But they DID make a mistake, in my favor, and you are kidding yourself if you dont think this actually happened.

And I never said Upper End strip properties will match me. But they do in Atlantic City and Downtown. And at the very least when I solicit a new property in vegas i can claim that I'm platinum with Mlife (which I actually am) and Diamond with CET (which apparently I still am as well).

Cosmopolitan matched my 7* card to their Platinum Identity card. This was in the later part of 2014.

They also matched my Diamond card that year as well but those days are long gone.

CET is not hurting by giving away Diamond Status. Their cost is minimal. Actually, the only hard cost I can think of is access to Diamond Lounges. And even then, you have to visit the casino to use it. So, in most cases, folks will drop some bucks while they are there. Sure, some people are in a situation where they can go drink and eat the "gourmet" food a the DL and not play, but not many.

And, I am guessing some people get Diamond and wind up making MORE casino trips than in the past, because after all, they are now hot-shots!

I'm from the UK and can only visit the US 4 or 5 times a year, maybe 2 or 3 times to Vegas and the rest to other CET properties, as long as they are comping all my rooms and food I will continue to give them my business. I wish I could just pop in there more often but unfortunately I can't :-(
