Today's Question - Socks

How come on laundry day you put an even number of socks into the wash and an odd number comes back out?

Where does the missing sock go?

How do you know a sock is missing versus a new one being added?

 

It's stuck inside husband's flannel lined jeans.

 

The missing sock went into the closet and is now breeding to make hangers.

 

You know, only the thin wire hangers procreate with abandon. My wooden and velvet hangers are childfree :-(

 

What are socks?

 

One of the best decisions I ever made was switching to a single brand/style of socks. When every sock is the same, you never have to worry about matching them up.

 

Depends on the machine's paytable...Cool when you find currency nice and warm fresh out of the dryer.

 

I wear knee high thin trouser socks a lot with my work slacks. I tie them in a knot before washing. Works great never lost one and always matched, just throw in a drawer when done and good to go with no morning sock fumbling.

does he have separate drawers for the left sock and right socks?

 

when in vegas, go to the 99 cent store. They have small laundry bags that you can put your socks in so they will all be in one bag and not get lost when washing and drying.

 

Ha, I'm just OCD enough to make that work! I also only buy a single brand of underwear, though those at least don't need to be matched up...

 

If we were to put an ODD number of sox in -----
and an EVEN number of sox remained ---
Would we care ?
