what are your best and worst dealer stories...havent had much on the bad side except for one refusing my bet i was making the whole time i was playing and the pit boss took action and fixed the problem, but I have heard on hear about some dealers in it for the casino and want to take your money

had a good dealer last night. i was standing next to her at the roulette table and messing with her for a while telling her its my first time, when "16" hit im not on it of course, i wait for her to sweep the table and tell her thats not "16" its "19". just drinking and having fun with her. whenever a number hits and only 1 chip or no one is on it at all, i will tell them to just respin or misdeal even though its roulette...

so last night she grabbed the ball and it slipped out of her hand, she grabs it again and the spin maybe circles 2-3 times before no bounce right into "12" i was splitting it earlier but didnt this time, no one else at the table played it either

so she puts the marker down and gave us the "awww, no one on 12" I said "that was a really bad spin"...she picked the marker up and respun leaving all bets out there and I ended up catching a $25 split on "28"...I always joke with dealers about stuff like that and when I hit big a few numbers later I took good care of her but never did I think she was going to do that

there are bad dealers for sure.
I met one (I don't want to say which casino) at an UTH table.
Every hand if the dealer (i.e., the house) won, he would dance and sing just like if it was his own money.
He even shout loud in joy "Yeeees, dealer win!"
If the dealer lost, he would be so sad and mad, almost wanted to cry when he had to pay the players.

LOL sounds like something out of a Clark Griswald movie...

There is this very funny, small, chatty, a bit older Asian female dealer that I love to play with. She is very entertaining, and so funny. I'd rather not say the casino. She will toke hustle you like crazy, but she does it in a funny way. One night I was playing double deck blackjack with her and I hadn't put up my bet, she pulled off the Jc off the top ready to deal before realizing I hadn't bet. She held the Jc in her hand for a good 15 seconds, looked around a bit to see if anyone saw, and then just put the card back on top!

Not good or bad, but there was a old Asian lady dealing blackjack at the Mirage a while back, and every time a player would tie her she would cackle, "Push, push! Better than a take, take!"

Drove me nuts, and I left.

I went to grad school at Marquette, and I occasionally go back to Milwaukee to see people and hit up old haunts, etc. So I'm in Potawatomi, gettin' beat at video poker, gettin' beat at blackjack, etc. I finally decide to Carny Up and play three card for whatever reason. So I sit down, and the dealer is just Miss PissySnot. Just totally awful. Rude, obnoxious, like it was the last place on earth she wanted to be and I was imposing on her by deigning to play the game. And I'm losing at that, too. Finally, I'm sitting there with green chips, having burned through my reds, and I figure I'll hightail it back downtown after I finish going down in flames. Boom! Royal flush. And she was even pissy about that.

She paid me, but about as grudgingly as you can imagine. Then I figure since I'm getting my carny on, I might as well play that Go Fishing/Reel 'Em In slot, and my fat ass flannel shirted angler guy manages to pull up a large mouth bass to the tune of about $1,192, or something just below taxable levels. So now I'm up way more than the IRS would freely permit, but I have no players card and not a soul knows who I am. I consider strolling back over to Lady Nastyskank but decide against it. After all, what if she has some pit boss come over and I have to somehow fill out a tax form after all? So I get in a cab and roll back downtown a few thousand to the good. Had a great trip and was able to fund another vacation with the profit.

    But seriously screw that chick.

The best or worst BJ dealer, depending on your attitude.
We were in Laughlin, can't remember which place, the dealer was friendly enough but he couldn't add up to save his life.
At one point he bust but still took my companion's money. Finally with 26 showing, he hit yet again & caused such a howl of laughter or anger, the pit boss appeared, took one look & changed dealers.

The last time I was at MB a dealer asked me about where I live and what I do and I said that I'm in attorney in the Washington, DC area. He then went on a rant on how federal income taxes were illegal and he had not paid taxes in the last 15 years. He was some disciple of some anti-tax guy. I guess he was telling me this be I was from DC but I have nothing to do with the Government. I was having a good run but got up and left after the shoe ended. I didn't want to listen to that bullshit.

Had a dealer give me a sob story about her diabetic dog. On the upside I was playing free bet blackjack and she'd forget that 22 is a push and pay me.

My worst dealer story was at the old San Remo (now Hooter's).

While we usually stayed elsewhere, we almost always made this our last stop for blackjack on our way back home due to the close proximity to the airport. Most of the dealers were extremely personable. But one female dealer always had a sour persona, and she seemed to delight in taking your wager. Attempts to have a conversation with her were futile, and we even stopped tipping her after awhile which is not our norm. We usually avoided her table whenever possible. On this one occasion she tapped into the game and her demeanor combined with a bad run of cards prompted my dad and I to color up. We had both been winning and did not want to end our stay giving it back, especially with this grumpy miserable soul. My dad and I were talking about getting a bite to eat before heading back to the airport as the dealer gave us back our chips after coloring up. I started to walk away when I noticed something wrong with my stack of chips. I was sure that I had been shorted $200. I'm pretty meticulous about my chip stacks, so I told the dealer she owed me $200. She said that she didn't. After a brief back and forth with her continued denial and growing belligerence I flagged the pit boss over, and explained the situation. He asked her about it and she was fairly cocky and rude with her response. I asked for the eye in the sky to be checked, and they asked us to have a seat at an open table while they checked.

After a few minutes, the pit phone rang and the pit boss took the call...he came over to the table and told the dealer to give me two black chips out. They shut the table down and took her to a back office. We left, so I don't know what happened to her, but we never saw her deal there again.

A buddy and I were playing craps at Caesars in AC, he was consistently betting the 4 and 6, one time he forgot, and of course shooter rolls the 6. The dealer let him post his bet on 6 and paid my buddy. The dealer knew we were a couple of noobs.

Ha ha Sachiko (sp?). She's classic. Here are a few of her other famous sayings:

    Housekeeping, don't do Windows...
Man gotta do what a man gotta do...
    Lucky man, lucky man...

She used to be a showgirl back in the old days.

On another Mirage note, there used to be a dealer named Sammy... A cross between Rodney Dangerfield and Andrew Dice Clay. Guy was hilarious. Would mess with people, drop cuss words, etc. I heard he got fired. Someone couldn't handle his shtick I guess. Real bummer. I always sought him out when I was there.

Worst dealer was a craps dealer at the Sands Regency in Reno. He got my bets mixed up with another guy's and started paying the wrong person. When I said something he said 'you guys need to figure it out'. I called the pit boss over immediately and he tried denying that he had said that, until the whole table corroborated. After I got paid correctly I had about $200 in reds, but just threw them in my pocket and went to another game.

Best dealer was some hot chick at the Las Vegas Club who was put on this earth to look fine and pay ties.

I think if us table players thought and thought we could maybe think of 100 stories on either side each... I also think it's really hard to impart the goodness and the badness (happiness and sadness) of these type of experiences!

-Fremont Casino, a PGP dealer who insisted I set my hand in order when I set it down -- which I did everytime for the first ~10 hands and had made a mistake (something like QQ792) and she was awful about it. Telling the other players that I am holding up the game and it should be a misdeal and etc. etc. I was floored! Let's just say I was a very bad counter from there on out -- I know I know but i could NOT help myself after getting reamed WHILST having good intentions to begin with.

-MGM HL Roulette, a dealer at single 0 who straight up swept a black bet when the number came black. I said something like "Oops I was on black on that one" and the dealer professionally put the chip back, paid it and all was well! Next spin, black bet and it comes red. The entire layout is swept, evens, 1st 12, every number except all the winning bets all over the place plus mine still sitting there. Looks at me, points to my bet and says "Is it OK if I take it this time?". Once again floored as they were BASICALLY calling themselves out on a mistake from the past spin?

-MGM HL Roulette, a dealer at single 0 (notice a trend?? Oh wait) who over the course of a trip remembered my bets and made witty banter and fun conversation better than any dealer I've ever encountered. She remembered my drink and held spins off if I was busy tipping the waitress and told me fun (not tragic) stories about her family and I was happy to do the same when the timing was right. She "got it" about when to talk and when to not -- including factoring in what other players were at the table.

--El Cortez 25c roulette, Phung being a solid dealer, happy and accurate and now having disappeared

--Boulder Highway Casino Craps Dealer X -- Making favorable mistakes if they resulted FROM 2 way bets and goading me with "hey dont get us both in trouble!" haha

--LVC Party Pit dealer, worst dealer I've ever had: Very sweet but could barely even deal cards, made repetitive mistakes with green or black bets and I keep correcting her off and on, phone keeps ringing, I down my bets to lower the pressure and mistakes get worse. Pit boss tells her she is going to be written up if she makes another mistake... makes maybe 3 more, i color up and leave and tell her I hope she keeps her job (sincerely, as she was trying just so so bad. bad.) (bad.)

And it goes on like this... sorry if they aren't good depictions! I just always remember the best and the worst so this is easy (at least to relive in my head)

I have dealers at my local and even at Palazzo who will allow this when I forget something. It's because I've been tipping I'm sure. Once I forgot to put my $100 odds down and they let me drop it.

I laughed in "Not at the table Carlos" trip report when he said his crew and him were going to go be rude to the Casino Royale dealers. That's a salty bunch they have there. There have been a couple I liked but they're no longer there. Now I drop in and if they're being pricks or sweating the money I like to needle them.

Worst dealer I've had? My girlfriend and I had one at the Bellagio who whined the entire time about everything and how we were keeping him from going home. If we colored up his table was closing and he could leave early. I stayed just to piss him off even more.

I like to play freebet blackjack and blackjack switch part of the time, and I like playing at the Mirage. Over the course of a year or so (4 or 5 visits) I played alot with the same dealer. She was a good dealer and I enjoyed playing at her table. One time when I was up a good bit, and I had been tipping fairly well, the pit boss stopped by and asked how things were going - I said very well, that the dealer was doing a very nice job. The pit boss asked me if I would fill out a short form complimenting the dealer, so I did, thinking I was doing the dealer a favor. But after I did that, her attitude toward me changed and not only did not thank me, she seemed upset like I had done something that upset her. I haven't ended up playing there much lately, so I haven't really seen the dealer for awhile, but I always thought it was a weird reaction from the dealer.

Was playing at the Playboy Club years back and I knew I had seen this particular dealer before. I didn't want to be 'that guy' chatting up the pretty girl and seeming creepy, then it hit me. Dealing to my BJ table was 'Bikini Girl' from American Idol. It was her first night solo and you could certainly tell, as she paid many a tie and even a loss or two. Can't say she was particularly personable, but it was memorable.

Best dealer I've ever had is named Morris and he started (at least where I met him) at the Palms. I think he moved on to CP and last I saw him 2 years ago, he was a Pit Boss at Cosmo. Just a really personable guy, great with a story about famous folks and always interested in your story. Love dealers that just seem to 'get it'. He did.

I've had many a good dealer thru the years, but only one bad one that stays in my memory.
I was playing BJ at the original Aladdin with a buddy. We were shooting the shit with each other and tried to start talking to the dealer. The usual stuff, how's your day, where are you from, whatever. No response from him whatsoever. After a bit my friend said to me that the guy was not too friendly, guy heard and then finally said something.:" I don't get paid to be friendly!"
I told him that attitude must work great for tips!. We got up and left.
Twenty some years later and that incident still bugs me. How could someone in the service industry survive with that attitude.
