I have not been to Vegas in 18 months. I am a CET player who plays mainly between PH,Paris, Ballys, Flamingo, or Harrahs. What carny games do you like at these resorts. CET always seems to have new ones pop up and go away. If you like one, tell me briefly how you did .

    Thanks

High Card Flush...got a 6-card straight flush at PH last year and a 5-card straight flush this year.

High card flush looks interesting, is this downtown anywhere?

I like to played Ultimate Texas Holdem.(UTH) , but I do not play it that often.

I had never played it until this year. I was wasting time at a PiaGow table. It was next to a UTH table and a guy gets a royal flusher. Everyone screamed, and like a vulture looking for his next prey, I moved to the table with the action, and hit a four of a kind, and the rest is history.

In September the Golden Nugget was training dealers using a portable felt. I would think it would be live in Golden Nugget now too along with Binions.

I had a 6 card flush, with the 5 card straight flush, so the "Flush" side-bet paid 100-to-1...I had $100 on that spot, so $10,000. I had $25 on the "Straight Flush" side bet, which pays 100-to-1...so, $2,500. I had $200 on the "Ante" bet, which pays even money. I had $600 on the "Play" bet, which also pays even money.

Yeah I am a sucker for Mississippi Stud too. I will have to check Margaritaville. I usually take one or two runs at it at 4Q

MS stud can be fun, so I'll occasionally take a stab at it from time to time.

If I'm in a hurry though, I can achieve the same results by simply handing my money directly to the dealer, then walking away.

Seriously though, I enjoy the game but have pretty much given up on it. Last couple times I've bought in for a couple hundred, played the $5 min, and gone broke without a single winning hand.

I might try Crazy 4 Poker next trip. Lower variance than MS Stud and UTH with element of risk of ~1.1% with very simple strategy.

UTH is lower HE but the bankroll requirements seem much higher.

I've played Let It Ride the last few trips. Feels like live video poker to me, and you can learn perfect strategy on five fingers. Reasonable house edge under four percent, some exciting bonus possibilities. You usually get to see the other player's hands, which the house should discourage. Pretty social game as a result.

I enjoy Crazy 4 Poker. It's easy to learn/play and is usually a very social game. I also enjoy LIR but have not won a thing playing during my last few trips.

For a good lasting UTH session, I usually figure 100x your base Ante bet for a session bankroll. This year, I have been playing higher, for shorter sessions...not trying to ride out the downswings. For the most part this has worked out well, but you have to pretty much be lucky enough to start off on a hot streak.

I'm a sucker for 3 Card Poker but the strategy is insanely simple.

I hit the top 4 Aces early morning playing heads up with the dealer at Harrahs. I hope the picture comes thru - definitely my favorite now!

You'd be suprised the amount of people who have NO CLUE there are "basic strategies" for ALL table games.

Don't know the game, but any picture of four Aces together looks like porn to me! Congrats!

I hate the stupid casino games like these but am a huge sucker for the games on the upper deck at circus circus.

i love that game where you roll the ball and the horses advance. i only wish you could win actual money at them.
