I never thought about this before, but do casinos allow a couple of guests to accompany the gold/diamond/whatever card member in the specified lounge?

Are you talking about TR casinos? If so, for diamond you're allowed to bring 1 guest with you and 7 stars gives you up to 3 guests into the lounges. You can always talk to your hosts if you want to bring more if your play warrants it.

different lounges allow different amounts of people...new orleans 7* is me + 3 people but vegas I think its just 1 extra person...now a few things can happen, you can get a pass for a host for extra guest, if the room is slow, the door person may let you bring extra, find a person in the room who doesnt have a guest and ask if they mind bringing someone in...now me, i bring more than allowed all the time, they dont seem to care much. my record is me +10 as a diamond member, as 7star ive done me + about 5

You do know that most casinos do not have a lounge.

I could be wrong, but I think irishdave was referring to the VIP lounges... and most casinos have those.

Actually, I'd be curious as to whether anyone knows the answer to this for the Gold lounge in Venetian. Although the lounge is fairly underwhelming, its always just been my wife and I and that's obviously allowed. This coming Feb a friend may be joining us, so curious as to whether a cardholder + 2 guests would be allowed there. No real issue if not, we rarely use the lounge as is, never been overly impressed with it.

The V/P Gold lounge currently has a one guest policy. Since they began checking cards there, I took a trip with 2 guests, who were staying at the V/P with me. It was not a busy time. At VIP check in I asked if they would be able to join me in the Gold lounge too, and was told yes. However, when we tried to enter, I was told that only one guest was allowed, and entry to the Gold lounge was based only on gambling. I said that I had access to the Gold and Platinum lounges because of my gambling, and my guests were given VIP/Platinum lounge access by my host, so I thought it was a bit silly that they both weren't allowed to join me in the Gold lounge too. A policy is a policy, and I know people can really abuse things. We were prepared to just head to one of the Platinum lounges, but were told it was OK for us to stay. So, you may or may not be able to get your friend into the Gold lounge. If you try, I'm curious to hear how you make out.

Thanks Nicky, I hadn't brought this up with my host, but I see you mention your host granted your guest VIP/Lounge access? Was this something your host was able to designate on their player's card or anything? Maybe I can just bring it up with him?

I'll try and remember to follow up on this either way after February.

No, not the Grazie card. Getting VIP check in gets you a different colored room key. You can use that to access the VIP/Platinum lounges (by inserting it into the card reader at the Palazzo or showing to the staff at the Venetian) without having to be a Platinum player. With your play, I'd ask your host to see what he might be able to do for you.

And now with a particular lounge/casino question, the answer will change.
