CET free buffet deal through the end of the year

Apparently if you earn 50 tier points in 24 hours at PH you get a free buffet; someone posted they did this twice in 2 days.

 

Thanks KKB, I haven't seen anything about the PH offer, but Someone else mentioned the same offer was going at the RIO (ie 50 tier points in 1 day = free buffet), but I have not seen or received anything official from total rewards about this offer.

If someone can find an official link please post it.

 

I just got the same offer in the mail from the local Horseshoe Casino which is CET owned.

 

Earlier this month I stayed at PHO and noticed the Promo machines next to the Total Rewards desk and I swiped my card and it said I earned a free buffet. I don't remember any signage promoting this promo but I ended up getting two free buffets and my dad got one. It must be pretty popular because the day we left we were at the buffet at 7:00 when they opened and almost everyone had the free buffet promo pass.

Do you have to use it the same day you earn it or can you use it the following day?

 

Free Planet Hollywood or Rio buffet

You can earn a free buffet at Planet Hollywood or the Rio by earning 50 points (Reward Credits) in one day. (50 Points is $500 coin-in on most video poker or $250 coin-in for slots.) The promotion runs until December 31, 2015, and you can do it once per day. (I’m not sure if you can do it at both casinos in one day or must choose just one of the two.) After you earn your 50 Reward Credits, go to the Total Rewards desk for the voucher you can then take to the buffet cashier.

 

You can use it the following day. I got my first one on a Monday and used it the following day for dinner and then got one on Tuesday that I used for breakfast on Wednesday before we left. At Planet Hollywood you don't even have to go to the rewards desk. They have a bunch of promotion kiosks to the left of the rewards desk that you just swipe your card and it will print out your voucher.

So the voucher has an expiration date of the next day when you print it? Does it expire 24 hours from the time of printing? Or through the end of the next day?

 

It does have an expiration date. You can get a voucher every day you earn 50 tier credits but you can't get a voucher for credits earned the previous day. The voucher I used for dinner on Tuesday I printed either Sunday or Monday afternoon. It wasn't until Tuesday we learned of the earn 50 points and get a free buffet. Tuesday night I swiped again and it gave me another voucher which I used Wednesday morning. I felt bad for my dad because he woke up early Wednesday and went down and got his 50 points but since it was still before 6:59am it didn't count towards a new day and he had already swiped and got the voucher for the previous day. But to answer your question it does have an expiration but I don't remember how long you have to use it.
