Where is the best place to spend a day watching NFL Sunday? Placing maybe $2k of bets over the course of the day. Will it be possible to sit somewhere or is it all reserved for high rollers? Any chance of a few drink coupons would of course enhance the experience.
I normally watch at V/P, because that's where I stay, and I like the book, although a lot of folks don't. For being a bigger property, there's normally plenty of room even on a Sunday when I've been there. There are definitely better books on the strip. Mirage has a great book, Westgate's is big, but haven't seen it since the renos. I kind of like Paris', because its tucked away and not as much walkthrough/by traffic. Wynn/Encore have a nice book. Some places just have an alcove, like LINQ, but its not a bad place if you want a bit more informal feel. But often I'll sit at a VP bar for the games anyway, then you get comped drinks if you're playing VP while watching...I often end up not using the tickets or forcing myself to use them.
My pleasure. Where are you staying if you don't mind my asking? Might be they have a real nice book to begin with.
I actually kind of like Paris' because its tucked out of the way, so not much through traffic. But I agree completely its small. Ballys does have a great book.
That is true. I remember the first time I was looking for it years ago, I could not find it. I just think their screens are old and the seats are not comfortable
actually that's one of my biggest gripes with the sports books. they simply don't hold any seats for anybody. unless you book the seat beforehand, you're not getting one no matter who you are.
Both my trips coincided with Breeders Cup race days(wife's birthday) and I found it amusing/weird that guys placing 10K bets were standing on the outskirts with me
, I normally play 3-4 hundo per pick, and will pick a handful of noon games, and then one or two at 4, and play the evening games. Throw in a couple parlays, and I'm at 2k or so. Sounds good. How about some picks for this week.
Spent the whole day at the Mirage book in the couch area yesterday. Worth the $150 to me. You have it all day. 10 am to 10 pm. I like the fact you can go and come as you please. Leave to eat or gamble and come back all day. I liked it more than Lagassee's.
