Can someone tell me if there are always cabs waiting at Palace Station? I know sometimes at "locals" casinos there is never a cab out front and I really didn't want to have to walk across the highway to SLS or someplace to get a ride.

Think it's a bit of a trek to walk to SLS from Palace Station Dallas.

I stayed at PS in June and used their free bus shuttle that takes you just behind Fashion Show Mall, every hour I think(also picks up there on the way back to PS).

You can also get Reception to phone you a taxi I'm sure.

You don't "across" the high way. I-15 is over head.
From Palace Station to SLS is like from Mandalay Bay to Cosmo, not too bad, Just boring walk, nothing to see in between.

Can't address availability of a cab, but if you are up for riding the bus, walk to the bus stop in front of Palace Station on Sahara. The SX bus runs frequently and it will drop you off just beyond the LV Blvd. intersection. Google maps puts it at 1.2 miles.

I did this about two weeks ago to get to Bellagio, took the SX to Paradise and transferred to the SDX. Temps were about 100, it was sunny and high noon.

The SDX runs about every 20 minutes during peak times. Longer on weekends and off times. Walking to the SLS you would be crossing HW 15. I believe its 3 stops to the strip on the bus and a short walk to the SLS.

Have stayed there a couple of times and I don't recall that walking outside and finding a cab was ever difficult. If you don't find one, just call one on your cell and they should be there in a couple of minutes. You are very close to I-15 so they are always close-by.

There are always cabs waiting outside. Just go to the main entrance and the staff will hail you one.

    I concur

Anyone know a day and time to avoid the long wait @ the oyster bar there?
