    Hi everyone.

I'm planning a trip to NYC next month and hope to stop in AC for a few days. I realize AC is certainly not Las Vegas, but I've never been there and it's someplace I've wanted to check out for quite some time. Anyway, I was browsing Borgata's website and noticed that for new members, their players' club offers an automatic upgrade to their "Black Label" tier for premium level cardholders from other players' clubs, including Mlife gold which is my Mlife tier. The upgrade includes $100 in free play and a comp night in the hotel, so it seems to be a worthwhile offer.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know of any other players' clubs (in Las Vegas or elsewhere) that offer an automatic upgrade like this to premium level cardholders of a different players' club?

My CET Diamond qualified me for Chairman tier at GN Lake Charles. No significant offers though.

Silver 7ens in Vegas was doing this earlier this year. Not sure if they still are.

There's no harm in asking, or calling ahead of time. I was a habitual CET player until Borgata matched my CET Diamond to Black Label. They're pretty generous about it from what I've heard.

Offers will come after they see some play. And, if you play at a lower level, then offers will be lower.

I believe the Plaza downtown does. I haven't taken them up on it as I have never played there and wouldn't be playing enough to maintain that tier there.

Golden Nugget Lake Charles upgraded me but it was based on my Mychoice card (pinnacle) which was upgraded due to mlife status.

Just remember that the "level match" offer only applies to "new" members.

If you've been around as long as I have (and there are those who have been around longer), you've probably signed up for every club.

I remember when I was in the "card collecting stage".

However, that being said, if you wait around long enough, some casinos will have "changed hands" (i.e. sold) and started their Player's Club over from scratch, such as Reno.

I got a level match at Atlantis and now that I've made Seven Stars, will be looking for a level match at Grand Sierra and Montblanc (Tahoe).

I did the Borgata upgrade last week. Handed the lady my non expired MLife platinum card and she gave me a black label card with $100 freeplay, $20 in resort spend and comped my room for that night. She also told me I could use some vip lounge that they had. Also showed the card to the valet and they waived the valet charge.

Golden Nugget LV matched mlife Platinum to their Elite. Sadly no one in the hotel lobby recognizes Elite for any kind of special checkin privilege.

    Because there is none.
Generally those properties who do the tier match, their higher tiers don't have any real benefit, it's just an empty title.

I have a Diamond CET card but it is expired do you think they check that or do we know they do? I'm only Platinum now and my first visit to AC is coming this weekend.

    I've seen Borgata check that.

It's worth mentioning that the Borgata status match is NOT only for new player, and in fact you can keep the upgrade indefinitely as long as you maintain your higher status competing card (e.g. CET Diamond). You only get the free slot dollars and automatic one night comp if you are a new member, but the Amphora lounge especially is a very nice perk.

I was red label and hadn't visited borgata for years. Went last week and upgraded to black label using mlife gold. Very simple, 2 minute process. Not a new member so didn't get any of the "bonus stuff".

Is the amphora lounge $10 comp for you and a guest or $10 each ($20 total)? I can't tell from the website wording, it seems like the former, but want sure.

I concur and agree with the above information. I have been Borgata Black Label for last several years with minimal play. I'm 7 stars with CET so I just go over to Borgata every year to status match. I mainly use it for the Amphora lounge and free parking.

Wonder if that would also work for FC Diamond members?

Yup they definitely check. I had an expired Diamond card, really just by a few days. I was still a Diamond, I just didn't get a new copy of my card yet since the old one still works. They wouldn't match me to Black Label even with a host involved. It was no big deal, I just walked over to Harrahs across the street and pulled a new copy of my card and went back. It took about 5 minutes of typing but its well worth it.

Going to borgata this weekend so looked this up again, and found some clear wording about cost.

Access to Amphora Lounge for $10 Comp Dollars each for you and a guest
Borgata Buffet for $10 Comp Dollars each for you and a guest

I have been doing the Black Label Match for a couple years. On renewals, you just get the Black Label Card. It is nice because you get free parking, VIP lines, and you can eat/drink at the VIP Lounge for $10 each for you and a guest (comp dollars only) or $10 in comp dollars for the buffet which is a great buffet. Comps are generous at Borgata, but I still do most of my play at Harrahs so I get comps that can also be used in Vegas.
