Some of my current favorites are Ellis Island, Main Street Station, and TAG bar.

Any casinos have an extraordinary selection of craft beers that are comped while gambling?

Am I missing any Vegas micro-breweries that are close to the strip, or Downtown? Any new ones?

I like to hit Chicago Brewing when DT in Four Queens. They usually have a really good lunch special.

Banger Brewing makes some nice beers and features some good crafts from other breweries in the region. Banger Brewing is downtown on Fremont Street.

Pizza Rock, also downtown (3rd St @ Ogden), has a nice beer selection along with great pizza. Beers are $2 off during happy hour (M-F 3-6 and every day 10pm-close).

Was going to ask this same question. Looking for some suggestions on comped beer selections downtown, would like to try a variety of IPA's while pissing away my hard earned cash. Hurry, T minus 25 1/2 hours till takeoff!

Unfortunately no, this is an anniversary trip with the old ball-and-chain, she didn't want to stay 6 nights (major eye roll), so we are doing a 3 1/2 day junket, flying home Thursday. Thank god I get a 6 day solo pokerfest trip in the spring, otherwise I'd be single...

Well, you already covered the best craft beer selection on the Strip, TAG Lounge, and most of their selection is compable if you poke at the machines or the e-table games. No where on the strip even comes close.

But here is what you can find elsewhere...(sorry I'm an IPA fanboy)
Venetian and Cosmo offer Sculpin IPA. Cosmo's Bond Bar also offers Chimay.
Whiskey down at MGM offers Dogfish head 60 minute IPA.
Bugsy's Bar Flamingo offers Happy Camper IPA.
Harrah's has about 20 beers on tap at their main casino bar and most CET bars offer Lagunitas IPA.
Mandalay Bay offers Lagunitas on the floor. Mizuya lounge there offers Ninkasi Oatis Oatmeal Stout.
SLS has Union Jack IPA and Oskar Blues's Mama's Little Yella Pils at the bar near the sportsbook.

Sin City Brew Co. has a location in the Miracle Mile Shops (their beer is just meh though, imo)
    Downtown...
The D Long Bar has about 20 taps.
MSS microbrews at Boar's Head bar is good.
Chicago Brew Co. at 4 Queens bars is another option.
Filament at Fremont has some craft, but none of it is compable. :grrr:
I haven't been there to verify, but I've heard El Co has some crafty stuff too.
jimboguy covered the non-casino brew places downtown fine.

Off Strip: M Resort 32 Degree Bar. 96 taps. All compable when playing. Here is the menu. http://www.themresort.com/dining/32draftmenu.html

I also recommend TAG at the Linq. Yardhouse is another option due to its huge selection, especially if you want food... but pour-for-pour TAG has better stuff.
I took this picture back in July during a successful VP + "free" beer visit. Cheers!

Another vote here for Banger Brewing on Fremont St. Not a huge selection, but what they have is very good, and they're really decent people too.

If you ask nicely you can get a tour of the brewery part

on the strip, Todd English Pub has a great selection, downtown Atomic Liquors has a really nice tap selection. Also, the Linq main casino bar has 90 minute on tap, as well as Happy Camper. The newish center bar at Harrah's has a great selection including some Chimay, Sculpin and some others. Banger is the best brewery in Vegas that ive tried so far, followed by Big Dogs, which is way out on Rancho, then Chicago. MSS is at the bottom but some of their stuff is decent. There are some new breweries that have opened in the past year sense ive been in town, Hop Nuts is one of them and not to far from freemont st.

You can get sculpin and grapefruit sculpin at the liquor store in the flamingo by margaritaville. Good walking around option and price wasn't too bad for Vegas, 6 bucks or so.

Thanks guys! I have had a decent amount of "trial and error" with this in the past 4 years. Casinos have been very slow in adopting craft beer offerings. TAG being a HUGE exception to the rule. Thank God for that.

I think the Linq liquor store also had those.

I read on the internet that they also had Joseph James Hop Box, but that was unfortunately dated info as I didn't see it in August. Smashburger off the strip offers it for $3.50 a can though at least.

If downtown, hit up Banger Brewing. Right next to Heart Attack Grill. They are definitely doing some good stuff there.

Would call them craft per say... but Todd English PUB at the Aria has an amazing European (German, Belgian, ect..) selection. The bartender said many on the menu are the only pace you can get them in the US. I make a point to go try a few new ones every time I'm in Vegas,

Not all of these are casino destinations, but some additional beer destinations.

Hard to beat pizza rock, both for the beer choices and the food. Combine that with triple 7, Chicago brewing, banger, and a few bars on Fremont east and that should keep you busy downtown :drunk:

On the strip also check out the Pub at Monte Carlo, Toms Urban at NYNY, and Public House at Venetian. Close to the strip try Culinary Dropout at hard rock.
