We all know about post Vegas depression, but how about Post Vegas Exhaustion? My flight was delayed yesterday out of Vegas, and we landed at BWI at 1:45am.

That's, on top of the 160 work emails, on top of 5 days of boozing.......

    Question.

How long til you're feeling yourself again?

95% of the e-mails are bullshit so just delete them.

It's like phone calls. If it's really important, they'll call back.

It's like when work requests come in from certain people, they automatically go to the bottom of stack.

No one ever works the first day back. It's against the code.

I work two blocks from our airport. 3 hour red eye flight back and I walk immediately straight to work by 8am. No one expects much work from me for a few days anyway so it is fine. but usually I just work super late or come in super early one day so I can work alone in peace and get caught up. It takes a good week or so for me to "feel normal" and have my hard work ethic back though

I find for me, it takes about 2 full days back before I feel back to normal. I live about 20 minutes from the airport so that helps.

When I book my trip I make sure I have at least 3 full days off when I get back to recover. Drinking non stop for 3-4 days really takes a toll on my body!

We arrived in Vegas at 10:30 pm Sunday Sept 27 and made the brilliant decision to not go to bed until 1:00 a.m. Tuesday and up by 6:00 a.m. Tuesday. Throw in another all-nighter Wednesday, home Friday night and I didn't feel human again until yesterday. Vegas is never a relaxing vacation but not that I'm retired, I have the luxury or no big responsibilities awaiting my return.

As the years go by, it does take a little longer to recover. But, a win seems to make it a little easier!

    I don't get it! LOL

But seriously, after some trips I swore I'd never drink again. Like that is really going to happen!

The time difference usually kicks my ass for a few days. With my most recent trip it didn't really affect me too much, but I did come back with a cold.

it took me a week to recover.

I have a very high-stress job, and I was happy to be back to work to relax, LOLOLOL!

After a week in Vegas, we flew to Chicago for the AC/DC show.
12 of the best days of my life....

(Jet-setting and having fun is hard work!)

It does sound crazy. But it's the truth, all truth, only truth, nothing but the truth.

I try and book my flights so I arrive home on Friday. That gives me the weekend to recoup, and lord knows I certainly need it. If I arrive home on Thursday I will also take Friday off too.
