Just completing my 5 night stay at Mirage, two nights at casino rate of $188 + resort fee + taxes and three nights comped with $400 f/b credit

Earned 192500 tier credits on this stay .... hotel bill is $612 excl. tips

Still in Vegas to make Plat in the next day or so

What, if anything can I expect MLife to take off my bill .... Just over $5k loss according to tax s/m

    Thanks

They should be able to take care of the remaining bill. Sounds like you probably got 1k in comps up front. They should be able to take care of that remainder

At Platinum, you should start receiving offers for 3-4 nights free and food comps moving forward. I am same level and never pay for rooms or food.

Update .... they would only take the $229 earned Express comps off the bill, despite my protestations .... so time to move over to Palazzo to see what happens there!

You need to talk to a host, not just the Mlife desk. Hosts can do more for you than just use up your express comps. Thats alot of tier credits for one stay!

You may be short of Platinum on Tier Credits.

You should already have gotten TCs for all of your hotel bill, except possibly if you charged something to the room this morning.

So if they back out $229 using ECs, I think you gotta subtract 9,575 from the 192,500.

He was already there on that type of offer. it doesn't have anything to do directly with the tier level.

As was previously mentioned, a host can do a lot more for you. All anybody else can do is take off dollars according to what MLife has for you.

Offers are tied to play and are not tied to level. Again, offers are not tied to reaching Plat or Noir. They are tied to level of play.

If we did a survey, I am sure we will find Plats that barely get free rooms. And we will find plats that get suites and RFB at a high level on every visit.

Did I mention that offers are tied to play and not tier level?

You got screwed. You earned another 1400 in comps, of which your upfront comps were only about 900.

The OP should have went into the hosts office. If not, then it explains why he got screwed over. Left at least $1000 on the table in comps.

192500 tc earned, subtract 15300 for spending $612 leaves 191200. Divide by 33 tc per dollar = $5790 theo.

Assume 35% comp rate means he should receive $2000 in comps. As others have said, left $1000 in comps on the table

    Miscalculated. Subtracting spend leaves 177200 tc = $5370 theo = $1880 comps.

Without a host, he won't get back 35% of theo, not even 30%.

I had very similar story the first time I stayed at the Mirage (maybe different point system then but similar level of play and also $5000 loss).
They refused to take care my less than $150 food bill. I was so pissed off.

After leaving the MLife desk, I returned to the room and spoke to my casino host who confirmed that was all I was entitled to .... quoted something about 22,000 points?

So you do have a host at the Mirage after all?
If you earned 22k base points, (then it should be 220,000TC), it should be more than enough to cover your charge.
If you played slots, or VP, some experts here can give you very accurate theo calculations.

Yes ... I've had the same host for a few years

The reason I rang her after the MLife desk experience was my disappointment .... she just served to confound it .... all slots, by the way & estimated loss $5035

The loss isn't enough to matter.

But the theo should be enough.

She's screwing you with the numbers.
